This McAloo Tikki Burger recipe is my take on my all-time favourite McDonald’s India vegetarian burger! It’s a crispy potato patty that’s loaded with a flair of Indian elements, and it’s sure to be an exciting spin on your typical veggie burger!

Homemade McDonald India’s McAloo Tikki Burger

Yukon gold/yellow potatoes (about 400 g)

turmeric

salt

tsp Kashmiri red chili powder

tsp coriander

green peas (thawed if frozen)

Cup carrots, finely diced

Cup rice flour

vegetable oil, for shallow frying

Cup all purpose flour

salt and pepper,

Cup panko breadcrumbs

Cup cilantro, chopped

McAloo Tikki Sliders: India's Hottest Burger Recipe!

Aloo Tikki is a very popular Indian and Pakistani street food snack. It’s made with mashed potatoes, a few spices and dipped into an egg wash before being fried.

Aloo Tikki

potatoes

kashmiri red chilli powder

coriander powder

cumin powder

coriander

green chilli (chopped)

red onion (chopped finely)

Salt (to taste)

Mix all ingredients (except for the egg and oil) in a medium bowl until fully incorporated.

Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes or upto 24 hours.

Shape the aloo tikkis (about 1 1/2 tablespoons for each tikki)

Dip the tikki into the egg wash and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
