Kidney Friendly Cakes | Gala Apple Cake 

Preheat oven to 350'F. Spray pan with non stick cooking spray. Peel, core and cut apples into slices or chunks. Combine cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar. Mix in with apples, coating completely. Set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Layer half the cake batter, then add the apples on top. Pour remaining cake batter on top of apples and use a spatula if necessary to ensure all apples are covered.Bake for 75 minutes, or until golden brown and toothpick inserted into the center comesout clean.

This apple cake is so easy to put together, and apples are a year round fruit so I love to make it any time I need a good kidney friendly cake.
