This Easy Apple Crisp is made with fresh sliced apples coated in a cinnamon and brown sugar sauce, then topped with a cinnamon oat topping!

Easy Apple Crisp

(65 grams) all purpose flour

(90 grams) old fashioned rolled oats

(168 grams) packed brown sugar

cinnamon

tsp nutmeg

tsp salt

butter,

(56 grams) packed brown sugar

tbsp butter, melted

tbsp (16 grams) all purpose flour

lemon juice

salt

2. Add all of the ingredients for the topping, except for the butter, to a medium sized bowl and stir to combine.

3. Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture is crumbly and comes together. Set aside.

4. Combine all the ingredients for the apples and stir together so that the apples are well coated, then pour the mixture into an 8 or 9 inch square dish. 5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.

6. Bake for about 40 minutes, until the topping is golden around the edges and the apples are tender. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes prior to serving.

Delicious! We went apple picking this past weekend and this was just what I needed to use up apples in a yummy dessert.

Absolutely the best apple crisp I have made, hands down!! Followed the recipe. I did double it and used 9 × 13 glass oan.

This was super easy to make and so delicious! I didn’t have regular oats on hand so I used Oatmeal Crisp maple nut cereal and Harvest Crunch in the topping. Phewwwf! Worked really well. Also I put a bit more lemon  juice in the filling mix, as my apples were on the sweet side. I will make it again for sure. Thanks!

I am 15 and made this recipe yesterday for me and my familie's Christmas party!  Everybody said it was delicious.  My dad got 2 platefulls because he thought it was so good!  i will definitely make this again!

I made this a couple of days ago. Yum! Cooked well even in my funky oven. I tend to add this or that to recipes. This time I followed to a tee (except more nutmeg).  This to me says “apple crisp”.
