Sesame Ginger Ahi Tuna Steaks

Low Sodium Soy Sauce

tbsp Sesame Oil

tbsp Brown Sugar

Garlic (pressed)

tbsp Ginger (freshley grated)

tsp White and Black Sesame Seeds

salt and pepper

Tuna Steaks ((about 1/2 pounds each))

tbsp Grapeseed Oil

Mix sauce.

In a bowl mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger. Set to the side.

Rinse, pat dry, and season.

Rinse and pat dry the tuna steaks. Season with salt and pepper to taste on both side.

Heat skillet and start searing.

Heat a skillet to high heat with the grape seed oil. Place tuna steak in skillet (you should hear a searing sound). Cook 2 minutes, then flip.

Spoon sauce over tuna.

Spoon half the sauce into the pan during the last minute of cooking.

Remove and slice.

Remove the tuna steaks and slice thin (or keep whole).

Pour sauce and serve.

Pour half the remaining sauce over the tuna steaks, and sprinkle with sesame seeds, dividing evenly. Enjoy.

Combine the first 6 ingredients (through garlic) in a large zip baggie and add the chicken. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator 4 hours, turning occasionally.

Pre heat your grill.

Remove the chicken from the bag, reserving the marinade. Place the marinade in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute.

Place the chicken on a grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 20 minutes or until done, turning and basting frequently with the marinade. Garnish with lime wedges and green onions, if desired.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once hot, add half of the chopped green onions (reserve the other half for garnish) and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot. Sauté for another minute, being careful not to burn them.

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, and stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, miso paste, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

Once boiling, lower the heat and add the potstickers. Cook according to package instructions, usually for about 5-7 minutes if they&#39;re frozen, and 3-5 minutes if they are fresh.

While the potstickers are cooking, add the bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and julienned carrots to the soup. Let them cook in the broth for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still vibrant.

Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed, bearing in mind that the soy sauce adds saltiness.

Ladle the soup into bowls, ensuring an even distribution of potstickers and vegetables in each serving.

Garnish with the reserved chopped green onions and fresh cilantro before serving.
