Baked Curry Pork Ribs

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Season the pork ribs generously with the kosher salt and white pepper. Brown in a very hot cast iron skillet or frying pan with peanut oil or your favorite kind, on all sides. Peanut oil and grape seed oil take high heat.

Remove from pan and set aside. Deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup chicken stock with the heat turned off. Scrape up all the bits and crispy pieces and reserve.

Grease the baking pan or stoneware and arrange the browned ribs on their sides and nestled in between them the freshly chopped carrots and onions.

In a small mixing bowl using a whisk combine the flour, curry and Chinese Five Spice powders. Slowly add the 2 cups chicken stock, deglazed pan juices and pour this mixture over the ribs and vegetables. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and then a layer of aluminum foil to seal.

Bake for 3 hours or until meat pulls easily away from bones depending on the thickness of the ribs you have used. Spoon the curry sauce over the ribs and vegetables and serve.

Place ribs in a very large pot. Cover ribs with water and stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.

Bring ribs to a simmer. Then, cook for 45 minutes to an hour, or until tender, uncovered.

Melt butter and stir into the cup of BBQ sauce.

Grill over high heat, continually basting with the butter and BBQ sauce mixture until done, around 20 minutes.

Place ribs in a large casserole dish and stir in the barbecue sauce and non-dairy butter if using, making sure all the ribs are well covered.

Cover and bake 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven to 350˚F. In a large mixing bowl, make your marinade by combining your sliced onion, pressed garlic, 1 cup mayo, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp Mrs. Dash or your favorite seasoning and 2 bay leaves.

Mix the meat into your marinade, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour or overnight if time permits.

Place your marinated ribs in your largest glass baking dish, cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F for 2 hours.

Remove from the oven, drain off and discard extra fat that has accumulated at the bottom of the dish and spread the top and bottom of the ribs with BBQ sauce, recover with foil put back into the oven for 15 minutes, remove foil and bake an additional 15-25 minutes if the ribs still look too juicy; which happens with the big country-style ribs.

For perfectly tender ribs, try cooking them in your oven. With a sweet dry rub, these ribs come out perfect every single time.

Best ribs ever!!! The sauce is too much for the recipe, really only need about half but I kept it for chicken later in the week and it was amazing again then. Also, instead of broiling at the end we throw them on the bbq for a little bit of a char.

Wow!!! I was nervous cause I’ve never made ribs before, but these turned out amazing. I left out the paprika and cayenne because I was out, and I used some store bought BBQ sauce I had and needed to use up. Still turned out dope, would 100% make again!

Make the dry rub seasoning by mixing together the paprika, chili powder, salt, sugar, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set it aside.

Preheat the oven to 225° F (107° C).

Place the ribs with the rib bones facing up on a large cutting board. Remove the thin membrane by gently sliding a knife under the membrane and then using your fingers, pull the membrane away from the bones. If it is slippery or hard to grasp, use a kitchen towel to hold it and pull it off.Pro Tip: The membrane is the white piece of tissue attached to the underside of the ribs. It can be a little tough when cooked, and since we want the meat to fall off the bones, we suggest you remove it. You may find that the butcher has already removed it for you. Keep in mind that removing the membrane is optional. Some people prefer ribs that are a bit more chewy, if so feel free to leave the membrane on.

Flip the ribs over with the meat side up. With a sharp knife remove any fat from the ribs if there is any that needs to be removed.

Generously season both sides of the ribs with the dry rub seasoning.

Cover a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place the ribs in the middle, meat side up. Bake the ribs for 3.5 hours.

Remove the ribs from the oven. Generously brush both sides of the ribs with barbecue sauce.Pro Tip: If you aren&#39;t a fan of barbecue sauce you can leave it off. The ribs are delicious as they are with the seasoned rub. Just cover with foil as shown in the next step and continue baking.

Using both the bottom sheet of foil and the top, fold the two layers of foil together around the edges to form a sealed pouch with the ribs inside.

Put the ribs back in the oven to bake for an hour longer.

Pro Tip: Baby back ribs should be cooked to an internal temperature between 198 and 202 degrees F. A quality instant-read thermometer will let you know if your ribs are done. Insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, between the bones. Make sure your probe is not in a piece of fat or touching bones or you will not get an accurate read. I recommend taking the temperature in a couple of places across the ribs. Having multiple readings will give you a better indication as to whether or not your ribs are done.

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before uncovering.

Using a sharp knife, cut the ribs apart.

Optional: For less saucy ribs, place the ribs under the broiler and broil the ribs for 3 to 4 minutes, just until the barbecue sauce begins to caramelize. Keep a close eye on the ribs to make sure the sauce does not burn.
