It doesn't take fancy ingredients to whip up a pan of Nanna's Baked Spaghetti. Just simple ingredients and lots of cheese are the secrets that make it so good!

Nanna's Baked Spaghetti

(16 oz.) package spaghetti

beef

(23 oz.) jars meatless spaghetti sauce

c. mozzarella cheese

c. shredded medium cheddar cheese

salt & pepper

Baked Spaghetti With Spinach

spaghetti

olive oil

mushrooms

yellow onion, (finely chopped)

salt

black pepper

garlic, (minced)

Monterey Jack cheese, (divided)

sour cream

milk

Parmesan cheese, (divided)

nutmeg

(10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach,

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; set aside.

Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease (or spray with nonstick cooking spray) a 1 ½ quart casserole or baking dish.

While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add mushrooms and onions, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sauté for 6-7 minutes or until mushrooms are golden and onion is soft. Add garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute more. Remove from heat.

Combine egg, 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, milk, 2 tablespoons Parmesan, pepper, and nutmeg in large bowl. Add spinach, mushroom mixture, and cooked spaghetti; mix well.

Place in prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheese.

Bake, covered, for 25 minutes; remove cover and bake for another 20 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown. If desired, check internal temperature with instant read thermometer inserted in center of casserole; it should read 165°F.

Spinach Baked Spaghetti

It&#039;s a baked spaghetti casserole with flavorful meat sauce and cream cheese! Rich, deliciously cheesy, and decadent.

Baked Spaghetti with Cream Cheese

tbsp butter

onion

garlic (minced)

oz ground lean beef

oz jarred pasta sauce

beef broth (see note 2)

Italian seasoning

tsp sugar (optional, see note 3)

red pepper flakes (optional)

small bell pepper (green

Worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper (to taste)

oz cream cheese (softened,

cheddar cheese (see note 4)

mozzarella cheese (grated, see note 5)

parsley (for garnish)

Melt butter in a pot over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Set heat to high. Add beef and cook until brown. Make sure to break up the beef as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Pour pasta sauce, beef broth, sugar, Italian seasoning, and bell pepper.

Bring to a simmer. Lower heat and cover with a lid. Simmer for 30 minutes. If liquid evaporates too quickly, add water. We want it saucy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Meat Sauce

Pre-heat oven to 190c/350f.

Cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water as per package directions, minus 2 minutes. Reserve about 1 cup pasta water then drain.

Heat milk in a large pot. Add cream cheese, whisk and cook until smooth. Add in cheddar cheese and stir until smooth. Add pasta and 1/3 of the meat sauce. Stir until spaghetti is thoroughly coated. If it&#039;s too thick, just add pasta water 1/4 cup at a time to loosen the texture.

Pasta, Cheese Sauce

Assemble in a baking dish: one layer if using two shallow baking dishes. Spread meat sauce evenly on top then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. If using one deep baking dish, assemble in two layers. Spread meat sauce in between and on top. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese.

Loosely cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.  Bake for another 10 minutes uncovered until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve and enjoy!

Having said that, this dish is far away from being just a simple baked spaghetti because the meat sauce is delicious and flavorful. Not bland at all! And the cream cheese sauce is made even more delicious by combining it with cheddar cheese. So good!

Baked Spaghetti with Cream Cheese | Riverten Kitchen

Easy baked spaghetti! This is a perfect weeknight dinner comfort food the whole family can’t resist and it’s about to be their favourite. Meaty Spaghetti Bolognese baked to perfection with cheddar and Leicester cheese.

Easy Baked Spaghetti Recipe

400 g canned chopped tomatoes (crushed tomatoes)

bay leaves

Salt

Black Pepper

Red pepper flakes

Start off by sautéing the chopped onions in the oil until soft and translucent, say 1 to 2 minutes. Then add the garlic, chopped red and green bell peppers, celery and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until soft.

Add the ground beef, break it up and cook until browned and no longer pink. Then season with salt, black pepper, chilli flakes (if using), herb de province, Worcestershire sauce, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, bay leaves, water, lastly, crumble the chicken stock into the meat sauce and mix to combine

Simmer the meat sauce over low-medium heat for another 30 minutes or longer if you have time. Please note that the meat sauce should not be dry, it should be saucy. Add water or tomato sauce if need be to balance things out. Check for salt and adjust to preference. Remember that the cheese and spaghetti contain salt so don’t be heavy-handed.

Finally, add grated parmesan to the sauce, stir to combine and remove the bay leaves

Whilst you are waiting for the sauce to simmer, boil the spaghetti until aldente, about 1 minute less than the cooking time specified on the packet. Drain and set aside.

Divide the sauce into two, add one half to the cooked spaghetti and stir to combine. Then move on to assemble the spaghetti into a baking dish. Start to layer with mixed spaghetti, Bolognese sauce then grated cheese, repeat the process until you have filled the baking dish.

Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminium foil and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted. Take it out of the oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy.

Baked Spaghetti | Easy Homemade Baked Spaghetti with Cheese

When you need an easy dinner idea, this Baked Spaghetti recipe is here to save the day! Spaghetti pasta, ground beef, marinara sauce and cheese are baked together until hot and golden brown on top. Easy, family-friendly comfort food!

Baked Spaghetti

spaghetti pasta (white or whole wheat)

marinara sauce (2 jars, 24 ounces each, or homemade)

Parmesan cheese (divided)

mozzarella cheese (1 cup)

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the boiling water. Cook according to the package directions for al dente. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook, crumbling the meat, until browned. Drain off excess grease.

Add the garlic to the pan and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Then stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.

Reduce the heat and cook the sauce at a low simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in ¼ cup of the grated Parmesan. Then stir in the cooked spaghetti, mixing it well with the sauce.

Transfer the spaghetti and sauce mixture to a 13x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, followed by the remaining ¼ cup Parmesan.

Cover the dish with foil (spray the underside lightly with cooking spray to keep the cheese from sticking to the foil).

Bake for 30 minutes. Then uncover and bake for 10-15 minutes more, until the casserole is hot and the cheese is golden brown. Serve, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or basil, if desired.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cook the noodles to your liking and drain well.

Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium high heat on the stove and cook until browned completely. Drain any excess fat.

Mix together the sauce and the ground beef.

In a bowl, stir together the cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream until well combined.

Spread the butter in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.

Add half the noodles to the baking dish.

Spread the cheese mixture over the top of the noodles.

Place the rest of the noodles in a second layer over the cheese mixture.

Pour the meat and sauce mixture over the noodles.

Bake for 30 minutes, add Parmesan cheese to taste and bake another 15 minutes before serving.

Lightly grease a deep dish pie plate with cooking spray*

Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions. Drain, and add hot noodles to a large bowl.

In a small bowl, beat the egg. Add the butter and the warm pasta. Toss until butter is melted. Add parmesan cheese, basil, and a little salt and pepper and toss everything gently to combine. Empty pasta mixture into prepared pie pan and pat firmly into pan.

Spread cottage cheese evenly over the top of the pasta. Spoon your favorite spaghetti sauce over top and smooth into an even layer.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into wedges and serving.

Store leftover spaghetti pie in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave.

A nice layer of provolone slices or shredded mozzarella would be a tasty replacement, too

Love it! Here are the substitutions I made: I doubled the recipe, used ricotta rather than cottage cheese and dried basil as the store was out of fresh basil. Since I doubled the recipe and used a rectangular dish, I added seven minutes to the cook time. It sliced beautifully and was delicious. We had it with roasted carrots but a salad would be great. I’ll try it with a meat sauce next time.

This is a great recipe. I follow the directions exactly but do add half pound of cooked sage sausage from Jimmy Dean in with the pasta. So easy and so good. It’s a permanent rotation in my go to’s.

The flavor is excellent. It smelled heavenly while cooking. It ended up being very soupy though, not at all what I expected. I wish it had been a bit more solid. Next time I’ll strain the cottage cheese or use ricotta. I’ll definitely make it again though.

This will be a GO TO forever for me! I did add ground beef, little sugar, used dry basil &amp; sautéed an onion. This is AS GOOD AS MY LASAGNA and SPAGHETTI &amp; is a cross between the 2

What a super recipe! My pie pan is deep dish, so I upped the cheeses to 1 &amp; 1/4 cups and the basil to 1/2 cup. I also used a quality pasta sauce product. The result was a perfect melding of flavors. Many thanks for a terrific recipe.

Everyone loved it!  I did make changes.  I browned 1 lb. of ground meat with onion and added to the marinara. I made sure the meat was chopped up really small.  I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese.  It was incredibly good.  The family all requested that I make this often.  It was certainly easy, so I will!

Absolutely delicious! Family all asked for seconds. Made a double recipe to put one in the freezer. I used the ricotta cheese and skipped the butter. Also used Italian seasoning in place of basil and it was an awesome dinner!

Made this a couple of times. So good.  Substituted light ricotta and added dethawed frozen spinach to ricotta.  Added diced fresh tomatoes to sauce and added a couple of pinches of basil and parmesan cheese to the top.

Made this tonight for our dinner, and to bring to a friend who just broke her wrist. I always use recipes as a guideline and end up using what I have on hand. Since we're in the middle of a move, I used Italian seasoning in place of basil. I also cubed up a wedge of Brie I had in the fridge and tossed it in with the pasta mixture. Plus, I added copious amounts of mozza cheese in the layers. Thank you!

Made this last night but I stuffed it, used passata as topping with basil &amp; parmesan cheese, but I used too much &amp; wouldn't slice because the top was too runny, so I covered it with grated cheese &amp; put it under the grill, that fixed it, but passata is too rich for me !!!
