This Easy Baked Teriyaki Salmon Recipe is glazed with a homemade teriyaki sauce and baked creating a delicious sticky sweet coating then topped with sesame seeds and green onions!

EASY BAKED TERIYAKI SALMON

lb center cut Salmon

sodium free soy sauce

tsp minced ginger

tsp minced garlic

cornstarch

water

brown sugar

tsp rice vinegar

sesame seeds

cayenne pepper

green onions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and cayenne pepper in a  saucepan. Heat on medium for 5-7 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and cold water. Add mixture to pan and stir. Cook just until  it starts to boil then, remove from heat. Set aside ½ cup.

Add salmon to an oven safe baking dish scales side down. Generously brush with ½ cup of  teriyaki sauce, coating completely.

Place salmon in the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes. Remove from heat and brush with  remaining teriyaki sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion. Enjoy!

Teriyaki Salmon with Baby Bok Choy and Shiitakes

salmon

baby bok choy

shiitake mushrooms

low sodium soy sauce (don’t use Tamari-too salty)

rice wine vinegar

honey, maple or brown sugar

sesame oil

olive oil

ginger

garlic clove

salt and pepper

Orange zest- optional

Toasted Sesame seeds

scallions, sliced thinly at a diagonal

sriracha or chili flakes

Place the salmon, bok choy and optional mushrooms on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Mix marinade ingredients (soy, vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and ginger, garlic ) together in a small bowl and spoon it over the fish and veggies, coating all sides well.

Sprinkle the salmon with a pinch of salt and pepper and a little fresh orange zest, then place the sheet pan in the oven, checking it after 10 minutes. Then broil for the last few minutes to give the salmon a little color. Depending on how thick or thin the salmon is, it may be done sooner, or need a few more minutes- so remove it if need be- thinner cuts will cook faster.  and continue cooking the bok choy until it just tender ( yet green and vibrant and crisp).

Sprinkle the bowl with toasted sesame seeds, or Furikake, scallions, and chili flakes or sriracha for heat.

Another fast yet delicious recipe!  Having fun trying out different dishes that are a real twist on what we usually do and much faster!  I finally got the Chef of the House sold on your recipes.  Some New Englander's can get a little stubborn...

Love this recipe, quick and easy and perfect for weeknight dinners. I've found the boy choy sometimes overcooks in my oven so have found 5-7 minutes on the lower tier of the oven is best. Thanks Sylvia!

I mostly followed this recipe except I didn't have sesame seeds on  hand, I threw in a big garlic clove, and used grapefruit zest since I had no oranges. It was outrageously simple and delicious. A definite  keeper.

We made this last weekend &amp; it was so yummy. Do not leave off the orange zest it added such a nice
touch &amp; we used shitake mushrooms that shouldn't be left off either. We had this with the Japanese Sweet Potatoes...It was the perfect meal! Thanks

Super easy and delightful! I roasted with some frozen stir fry vegies from Costco and they all cooked perfectly together...vegies crisp and salmon moist.  As you suggested, perfect with the Kyoto sweet potatoes.  So colorful and nourishing!

This recipe has become my absolute favourite way to prepare tofu and I had no idea roasted baby bok choy was so delicious. This is one recipe where I don't want to make any substitutions. It's so perfect!

Recipe delicious but is there any chance you could metric measurements as well? Not everyone lives in Liberia, Burma or the USA and things everywhere else are not sold in ounces, the cookers aren’t marked in Fahrenheit etc. It’s not the end of the world to convert everything but it’s so much easier to have it written down at source. This was delicious! I didn’t have honey, so substituted with some syrup. I also didn’t have chilli flakes so sprinkled some fresh chilli on top. The flavours were amazing! To think it’s also a very healthy dish too, yum yummy!

I made this and it was absolutely amazing. Only issue for me was the saltiness of it. Other than that it was a fantastic meal. I used portabella mushrooms because that was all that was available in our little store. Definitely will make it again.

Yikes!!!! Super salty. I had to rincé the bak choy under running water to make it edible. Otherwise good. So many people over salt

Teriyaki Salmon and Bok Choy Video

This homemade Teriyaki Sauce recipe is delicious, easy to make, uses pantry ingredients, and ready in minutes. You&#39;ll never buy store bought again!

Teriyaki Sauce

soy sauce

Tablespoons rice vinegar

+ 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar

Tablespoon honey

clove garlic (, minced)

red pepper flakes

Make the teriyaki sauce by adding all of the sauce ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for about 1 minute. The sauce should be thick enough to coat the back of the spoon.

Serve over rice or with a stir-fry. See post above for additional ideas.

A simple, healthy and delicious recipe for Teriyaki Salmon with Baby Bok Choy. A 30 minute, one pan dinner!

Sheet Pan Teriyaki Salmon with Baby Bok Choy

oz wild caught salmon (whole

baby bok choy (sliced lengthwise)

soy sauce (or tamari

tbsp minced garlic (3 cloves)

tbsp fresh peeled and grated ginger (about 1 1/2 inch nub)

tbsp rice vinegar

tsp sesame oil

tbsp honey

Sesame seeds and scallions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

In a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Pour or brush about 1/4 of the sauce over the salmon. Let it sit in the fridge to marinate for 20 minutes or so if you have the time.

While the salmon is marinating, slice the whole baby bok choy lengthwise and toss with olive oil directly on the sheet pan.

Nestle the salmon in the middle of the bok choy, making sure that everything is in one even layer for even cooking.

Bake the salmon and veggies in the oven for 18-22 minutes or until the bulbs of the bok choy are tender and the leaves are a bit crispy.

While the salmon and veggies are baking, heat the remaining sauce in a small saucepan until boiling. Turn the heat down and add in honey and whisk until totally combined.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until dissolved. Pour cornstarch slurry into simmering sauce and whisk. Gently simmer sauce until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and set aside.

Once the bok choy is tender crisp, use tongs to remove it from the sheet pan and set aside on a plate. Turn the broiler on high and run the salmon under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until cooked through and slightly crisp on top. Watch it carefully!

Remove sheet pan from the oven. Place bok choy back on the pan with the salmon. Drizzle the entire thing with sauce and garnish with thinly sliced scallions and sesame seeds.

Serve with rice or quinoa and extra sauce on the side.

Baked Teriyaki Salmon

If using previously frozen salmon, let defrost in the fridge overnight.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lightly oil the bottom of a baking dish to prevent any sticking. 

Cut your salmon into one inch or so cubes. Cover with about half of the teriyaki sauce.

If you want to cook the filets whole and not cut into cubes, simply add the salmon, skin side down, with half of the teriyaki sauce. I like to use silicone brushes to spread it evenly on top.

skip marinating if needed

If you&#39;re hungry and can&#39;t bother to let it marinate (I&#39;ve been there!) then go ahead and pop it in the oven. Otherwise, allow the salmon to marinate for about 20 minutes to let it absorb some of the sauce.

Bake for 12-18 minutes (uncovered), depending on your preference and how thick the salmon fillets are. Cubed salmon will cook a bit faster, about 10-14 minutes depending on preference.

Check them at 10 minutes, they should easily flake with a fork and slide right off the skin. For the cubes, the color should be even throughout. 

Broil

You can then broil for just a couple minutes to get the tops nice and crispy is desired.

serve

Toss or drizzle with the remaining teriyaki sauce, reserving some for rice or steamed veggies as desired.

Excellent!  We were planning on salmon the other night and I always try to make it different ways, so I was searching and this came up. It sounded so good but we were out of broccoli but I had asparagus so I substituted it for the broccoli.  Also, it was kind of last minute so I just brushed the sauce on the salmon and stuck it in the air fryer. My husband raved about this dish so much!  It will definitely be in our meal rotation and I will never buy store bought teriyaki sauce again! Can’t wait to make it again with broccoli and a little more time to marinate the salmon.

This was incredible! I served the teriyaki salmon along with roasted broccoli and rice - together this was the BEST meal I have ever made.  I felt like it was comparable to dishes prepared by an experienced chef in a fancy restaurant.  The salmon was so easy to prepare (I used whole filets) and that sauce is out of this world!  Marinating the salmon, drizzling more sauce on top after baking, and adding a little to my rice really made my taste buds dance! My family does NOT want any other teriyaki sauce ever again - the sauce recipe has set a new (and very high) bar for our taste expectations.  I have been raving about this to my friends and love telling them that maple syrup is the 'secret ingredient' - I have never seen this as the sweetner for teriyaki sauces before.  I also think that thickening this sauce is part of what makes it really pack a flavour punch.  I have never commented on any recipe before but this one is such a stand-out that I just HAD to pass on my raves and thanks to you.
