Homemade Banana Pudding Pie is made with a Nilla wafer crust, fresh sliced bananas, homemade pudding and topped with fresh whipped cream.

HOMEMADE BANANA PUDDING PIE

vanilla wafers, (divided use)

unsalted butter, (melted)

bananas, (sliced)

sugar

flour

salt

milk

egg yolks, (lightly beaten)

tsp vanilla extract

heavy cream

tbsp confectioner’s sugar

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.&nbsp;Spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick spray.

Place 45 of your vanilla wafers into food processor and pulse until cookies are finely crushed (reserve ¼ cup of the crumbs to use on top of the pie later.)

Mix crumbs with melted butter.

Firmly press into prepared pie plate.

Bake for 10-12 minutes and then remove to cool.

For the crust:

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, flour, and salt.

Whisk in the milk and whisk constantly until the mixture comes to a low boil and becomes thick (about 7-10 minutes.)

Reduce the heat to low.

In the bowl that you have your egg yolks in, add a couple of tablespoons of the hot milk mixture (this will keep your eggs from scrambling.)

Add egg mixture to pot and stir constantly until mixture is thickened to the consistency of pudding (about 3-4 minutes.) You may need to turn your heat up slightly to achieve this.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

For the pudding:

Arrange half the banana slices over the crust.

Spread half of the pudding mixture over the bananas.

Top the pudding with the remaining 20 vanilla wafers you set aside earlier

Top the wafers with the rest of the bananas, then finish it off with the remaining of the pudding.

Place in the fridge to cool completely.

To assemble:

Using an electric mixer, beat the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.

It helps if your bowl and your whisk are VERY cold.

Spread the whipped cream over pie and sprinkle with the reserved crumbs.

This no bake Banana pudding pie is made with a quick and easy graham cracker crust and a creamy, velvety filling made with 2 kinds of instant pudding mix! It&#039;s an easy dessert recipe that puts a shortcut twist on a classic banana pudding recipe that everyone will love!

Banana Pudding Pie

graham crackers (crumbled)

white sugar

cinnamon

butter (melted)

instant banana pudding)

instant vanilla pudding)

half-and-half

whip topping (thawed)

vanilla extract

Optional garnishes: Whipped Cream (Bananas, and Nilla Wafers)

Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9” pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, add the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and salt and stir to combine.

Then, add in the melted butter and stir combined well and all crumbs are wet.

Transfer the graham cracker mixture to the prepared pie dish and press evenly into an ¼” thick layer on the bottom and up the sides of the dish.

Bake for 10 minutes. Then remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.

For the Crust

In a large mixing bowl, add the banana pudding, vanilla pudding, and half-and-half and beat with an electric mixer (or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment) for 2 minutes. (you can also use a hand whisk)

Then add in the cool whip topping and vanilla extract and gently stir until fully mixed in.

Pour the filling onto the cooled crust.

Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm and fully set.

Garnish with fresh whipped cream, sliced banana and Nilla wafers if desired.

For the Pie

This no-bake banana pudding pie will become your new favorite holiday dessert. Creamy pudding, a graham cracker crust, and loads of bananas and Nilla wafers — you get all the yummy flavors of banana pudding in an easy-to-serve pie form. Only 10 minutes to prep!

No-Bake Banana Pudding Pie

graham cracker crust

banana cream pudding

half and half

cream cheese (softened)

Cool Whip (thawed and divided)

Nilla wafers (divided)

bananas (sliced)

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

Add pudding mix, and slowly add half and half, mixing as you go. Continue to mix for 2-3 minutes.

Add 8 ounces of Cool Whip and mix for 1-2 minutes more.

Fold in sliced bananas.

Transfer the pudding mixture into your prepared pie crust. Spread evenly and smooth out the top.

Place about 20 Nilla wafers around the edge of the pie, sliding them between the crust and the pudding mixture.

Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

Before serving, top with the remaining Cool Whip and a sprinkle of crushed Nilla wafers.

Followed the recipe to a tee with the exception of my own graham cracker pie crust.  The mixture of cream cheese, pudding filling, half and half and Cool Whip  never came close to setting even after 18 hours in the fridge.  A wet goo wasted the graham cracker crust.  Wildly disappointed and an epic fail
