This Basic French Toast recipe is one you will want for your go-to breakfast recipes.  It is incredibly easy, but makes the perfectly soft, fluffy and chewy french toast.

Basic French Toast

eggs

milk

vanilla

salt

french bread (day old is best)

tbsp butter

berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

maple syrup, pure

Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt together in a wide, shallow container.

Slice the bread into slightly thicker slices that sandwich bread.

Heat large skillet or griddle, and melt butter.

Quickly dip the bread slices in the batter, making sure they&#039;re not in too long and getting over-soaked.

Cook on medium heat, cooking both sides until golden brown and crisp.

Serve with fresh fruit and drizzled with maple syrup.
