Cook pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water and drain well.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, breaking it with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat and set aside.

To the same skillet, add diced onion, and cook for 2minutes, stirring frequently. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Whisk in flour until lightly browned, for about 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in beef stock and stir to combine. Add marinara sauce and stir in Italian seasoning, dried parsley, oregano, and paprika.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced and slightly thickened, about 6-8 minutes.

Stir in cooked pasta, add back beef.

Stir in heavy cream until heated through, about 1-2 minutes. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper.

Stir in sour cream.

Stir in cheddar cheese until melted, about 1-2 minutes.

Serve immediately, garnish with parsley if desired.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. When the oil shimmers, add the beef and cook, stirring, until the meat is no longer pink, about 7-9 minutes. Drain off the fat, leaving the beef in the pan.

Stir in the salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, broth, pasta shells, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low or medium-low so the liquid is at a gentle simmer. Cover and cook until the pasta is tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally so that the pasta cooks evenly and doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Remove from the heat.

Stir in heavy cream, Velveeta, and cheddar. Stir until the cheese melts. Taste and season with additional salt and pepper, if necessary.

Creamy Beef and Shells (High Protein Pasta)

Worcestershire sauce

Italian Seasoning (Divided into 2 portions; 1 teaspoon each)

oz shells pasta

broth

spinach

cheddar cheese

plain Greek yogurt (Room temperature.)

Heat a skillet on medium heat with the ground beef. Break down the ground beef and cook for 4-5 minutes or until fully cooked and no longer pink.

Drain any excess fat from the pan. Add the Worcestershire sauce, onions, 1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir and cook until the onions are fragrant.

Add the tomato paste, shells pasta, broth, and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning to the pan. Ensure the noodles are submerged in liquid. Add additional broth or water if needed. This important for the noodles to soften.

Adjust the heat on the pan to Low. Place the lid on the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the noodles soften.

While the dish simmers, remove the lid and stir every 4-5 minutes to prevent scorching at the bottom of the pan. If the dish appears dry add more broth or water and stir.

Once the shells have softened, remove the lid and add grated cheddar cheese and spinach. Stir and cook until the cheese has melted and the spinach has wilted.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes. Add in the Greek yogurt and stir. Serve.It&#39;s important to add the Greek yogurt after the dish has cooled. If you add it to a hot pan it will curdle.

So good!!! My boyfriend and I love it and love how easy it is! We did use gluten free shells so it took longer to cook and I also added more beef broth and seasoning as well since we used 2lbs of beef. But such a yummy simple meal!

I needed something quick and filling for a mid week meal and this pasta hit the spot and I have leftovers for tomorrow! I didn’t have any spinach or kale on hand so I just made a small side salad and dinner was done! And did I mention I only used one pot? So not a lot of clean up! Yea I’m sold keeping this in rotation!

Great dish and great for a quick dinner. My kids loved it. I used bone broth to add a but more protein too.
