An easy, creamy beef pasta recipe that is loaded with flavor and cheese!

Creamy Beef Pasta Recipe

In a large, deep skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add in the diced onions and sauté for 5-6 minutes, until they begin to soften. Add in the ground beef to the skillet and break the meat apart. Cook until no pink remains. Drain excess grease and return the to heat.

With the heat still on medium, add in the garlic, basil, oregano, salt, red pepper, and flour. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to coat.

Add in the tomato sauce and broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

While sauce is simmering, boil Rotini according to pasta directions. Drain.

Add the cream and pasta to the sauce, stirring to combine. Add in the cheese and stir until melted.

Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Cheesy Beef Pasta

Set your pressure cooker to SAUTE. Drizzle with oil, then add the ground beef and saute 4-5  minutes, breaking beef into pieces as it cooks, until browned.

Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic for 1 minute longer. Transfer ground beef to a bowl and cover tightly to keep warm.

Add marinara, water, broth, noodles, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pot and give it a good stir.

Place the lid on the pot and slide it into the locked position and turn the vent valve to the sealed position.

Set to PRESSURE COOK or MANUAL for 8 minutes.

Do a QUICK RELEASE (immediately turn the vent valve to VENT position) and remove the lid once the float valve drops.

Stir in ground beef and mozzarella cheese. Once cheese is melted and incorporated, add salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with fresh parsley, basil, or thyme if desired and serve.

This Beef Broth Pasta with Parmesan is a hearty and warming pasta dish that tastes like you have been cooking for hours but is ready in 20 minutes. The pasta is cooked like a risotto, slowly adding broth/stock until the pasta is tender, giving it great depth of flavor and an almost creamy texture. Garnished with plenty of parmesan this is Italian comfort at it’s very best. Add a side salad or some steamed veggies and some garlic bread for a quick family meal.

Beef Broth Pasta with Parmesan Recipe

Pour the beef broth into a small pan and bring it to a simmer. (see note 2)

Peel and finely chop the onion.

In a large pan, melt the butter and olive oil together over low heat.

Add the onion to the butter and cook, for about 5 minutes until the onion is soft.

Add the pasta and stir it well so it is coated in the onion butter.

Pour in about 1/2 cup of the beef broth and constantly stir until it has fully absorbed.

Continue stirring and adding the beef broth, 1/2 cup at a time until the pasta is al dente.

If you run out of broth then continue with boiling water.

Remove from heat and season generously with black pepper (you shouldn't need salt)

Serve garnished with parsley and plenty of grated parmesan.

Sauté - Heat the oil on high heat in a large heavy-based pot. Cook garlic and onion for 1 1/2 minutes.

Cook beef &amp; seasonings - Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you go, until you can no longer see red meat. Add the Italian herbs and cook for 30 seconds, then add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute to cook out the raw flavour.

All in - Add crushed tomato, chicken stock, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes, if using. Stir, then add the pasta.

Cook 15 min - Bring the liquid to a simmer, then cook for 15 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes then more frequently towards the end (ensure pasta doesn&#39;t stick to base) until the pasta is just about cooked.

Creamy - Add cream, then simmer for a further 1 to 2 minutes. It will still be quite saucy - this is what you want! Pasta absorbs liquid quickly, so it will still be nice and oozy when you start eating.

Serve - Remove from the stove. Give it a good stir then ladle into bowls. Serve with parmesan and parsley.

onion (, chopped)

500 grams/ 1 lb beef mince (ground beef) ((Note 1))

carrot

zucchini

red capsicum ((bell pepper), chopped (Note 2))

800 grams/ 28 oz canned crushed tomato

400 grams/ 14 oz kidney beans

chicken stock/broth (, low sodium (sub beef stock))

water ((just regular tap water!))

cheese

green onion stem (, finely sliced (optional garnish))

thyme

tbsp paprika ((sweet/regular, not smoked or spicy))

tsp cayenne pepper (, optional (faintly spicy))

tsp cooking salt / kosher salt

Heat the oil in a large heavy based pot with a lid over high heat.

Cook vegetables - Cook the onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add the beef and cook, breaking it up as you go, until you no longer see red meat. Add the carrot and zucchini, cook for 2 minutes until the water they release mostly evaporates. Add the capsicum and cook for 2 minutes.

Spices - Add the tomato paste and Cajun Spices. Cook for 1 minute.

Pasta sauce - Add the canned tomato, water (I swill the cans clean), stock and beans. Mix and bring to a simmer.

Add the pasta, stir, let it come back up to the simmer. Put the lid on and lower the heat slightly to medium so the liquid is simmering (not bubbling madly).

Cook for 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes so the base doesn&#39;t catch. The pasta should be a bit firmer than you want in the middle, and still a bit soupy which is good! Liquid gets absorbed in the next step.

Melt cheese - Give it a stir, smooth the surface, sprinkle with cheese. Put the lid on then turn the stove off (leave the pot on the stove). Leave for 3 minutes so the residual heat melts the cheese and the pasta finishes cooking.

Serve - Remove from the stove, sprinkle with green onion if desired, then serve immediately while saucy and the cheese is gooey!

Instant Pot Cheeseburger Pasta (Hamburger Helper)

onion (chopped finely)

ground beef (0.5 kg)

garlic (finely diced)

paprika powder

hot sauce (such as Frank’s or Tabasco)

Dijon mustard

tomatoes tomatoes

black pepper

milk (dairy-free could be used)

vegetable stock

pasta (like fusilli; we use the tri-colour fusilli)

cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)

cheddar cheese (or mixed cheese of choice)

red onion (finely chopped)

red wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

sugar

Dijon or yellow mustard

pickled gherkins (sliced

grated cheese if you like

Turn the Instant Pot on and press the Sauté function key.

Add the onions, olive oil and a pinch of salt and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the beef and garlic and cook together for 2 more minutes, stirring a few times.

Add the rest of the ingredients and the dried pasta. Stir through really well. Cancel the Sauté function key.

Place the lid and lock it, making sure the top valve is pointing to Sealing. Set to Manual, HIGH pressure, and adjust the time to 4 minutes. After 3 beeps, the Instant Pot will start building the pressure and cooking will begin at the same time.

While the pasta is cooking, prepare the pickled red onions (this can be done ahead of time or the day before), by combining them with the other ingredients in a bowl. Slice the gherkins and grate a little more cheese.

Once the 4-minute timer goes off, use the quick release to let off the steam (simply point the top valve to Venting and step aside). Open the lid once the pressure is out.

Mix the cornstarch (or arrowroot powder) with 2-3 tablespoons of water and add to the pasta. Add the grated cheese and stir everything through. The cheese will melt into the pasta broth and the sauce will thicken.

Note:If you find that you don’t have enough liquid in the pasta, simply add a little more hot stock. You can always set the Instant Pot to Sauté for a couple of minutes to heat everything up again.

Serve the pasta in bowls and top with sliced gherkins/pickles, a teaspoon of pickled onions and a little more grated cheese.

Following the instructions it turned out very good, kids loved it. My pasta was perfectly done. I added the cup of cheese but also topped each bowl with a bit more shredded cheese.  

Easy to make, this one is a keeper.

This was very good and adding the pickled onions/pickles was also the best idea. I found it a bit too al denté after the exact time so just let it sit for quite a while with the lid on and it softened up nicely.
