Taco night happens once a week in my house, these are the BEST ground tacos made from scratch! We make this taco recipe with beef or turkey, it&#x27;s delicious both ways.

Madison's Favorite Slow Cooker Beef Tacos

cumin

salt

chili powder

paprika

oregano

onion

garlic

red bell pepper

water

tomato sauce

bay leaf

corn taco shells

romaine lettuce

cheddar

plum tomatoes (diced)

Brown the beef in a large nonstick skillet over high heat, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. When no longer pink add 2 teaspoons of the cumin along with the remaining dry spices, onion, bell pepper and garlic, stir and cook 2 to 3 minutes until soft, then transfer to the slow cooker along with 1/2 cup water, bay leaf and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on high 3 hours or low 6 to 8. Discard the bay leaf and add the remaining teaspoon of cumin.

Heat the taco shells according to the directions, then assemble placing 1/4 cup beef in each shell, topped with lettuce, 1 tablespoon cheese and tomato.

Slow Cooker Recipe:

Press saute, add the beef and cook breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. When no longer pink add 2 teaspoons of the cumin along with the remaining dry spices, onion, bell pepper and garlic, stir and cook 2 to 3 minutes until soft.

Add 1/2 cup water, bay leaf and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on high pressure 20 minutes; natural release. Discard the bay leaf and add the remaining teaspoon of cumin.

My daughter Madison loves tacos, these are her favorite!! Made from scratch in the slow cooker or Instant Pot. Recipe is from the Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook. Makes enough meat for several nights!

Beef Taco Recipe

Crunchy Taco Cups

lb beef,

(3 tablespoons) taco seasoning

Ro-Tel

sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (or Mexican blend)

wonton wrappers

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Generously coat a standard size muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.

Combine cooked beef, taco seasoning, and tomatoes in a bowl and stir to combine. Line each cup of prepared muffin tin with a wonton wrapper. Add 1.5 tablespoons taco mixture. Top with 1 tablespoon of cheese. Press down and add another layer of wonton wrapper, taco mixture, and a final layer of cheese.

Bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes until cups are heated through and edges are golden.

These are so amazing! I may or may not have had 6 just on my own. :P  The wonton wrappers are such a great idea.  Thanks for the new dinner option!
