(8 inch) flour tortillas (, or 1 bag tortilla chips)

cherry tomatoes (, halved)

shredded cheese

Guacamole (, or chopped avocado)

Add ground beef to a skillet over medium heat. Cook, crumbling with a wooden spoon into small pieces, until cooked through. Remove grease. Add taco seasoning and water and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in black beans and corn.

Assemble taco salads: Add baked tortilla shell or tortilla chips to the bottom of a shallow bowl. Top with a handful of lettuce, then taco meat and desired toppings. Add salsa, sour cream and guacamole (or avocado) on top.

black beans ((drained))

avocado ((sliced/chopped))

Doritos ((crushed))

Salt & pepper ((to taste))

Add the oil, ground beef, and spices to a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until it's browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally (about 8-10 minutes). There should not be much (if any) fat to drain if you used lean ground beef. Just spoon the excess fat out if needed.

While the beef is cooking, start to prep your other salad ingredients, and make the dressing by mixing the sour cream and salsa together.

Add the salad ingredients to a large bowl. Once the beef is done, let it cool for a few minutes. Add the beef and Doritos to the salad last (so the Doritos don't get soggy). Toss the salad with the dressing, season with salt &amp; pepper as needed, and serve immediately.

Toss well.

Add the crumbled Doritos to the bowl and...

Add the crumbled Doritos to the bowl and toss just until the chips are mixed into the salad.

Serve immediately or the Doritos will get soggy.
