This Keto Teriyaki Sauce is sugar-free, low carb, and ready in 5 minutes! It’s the best Japanese teriyaki sauce made keto friendly! Makes 1 cup.

Keto Teriyaki Sauce (Sugar Free, Low Carb, Easy)

coconut aminos (or gluten-free

apple cider vinegar

tsp grated ginger

tsp grated garlic

tsp Lakanto golden monk fruit sweetener

0.5 tsp xanthan gum

Combine

In a small to medium size pot, add ingredients from the coconut amino to the sweetener.

Simmer

Give it a stir and cover the pot with a lid. Bring it to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, about 3 minutes.

Thicken

Slowly and gradually sprinkle in the xanthan gum little-by-little while whisking the hot simmering sauce at the same time. The sauce will thicken pretty quickly.

Store

Off heat. Let it cool to room temperature before packing it to a mason jar. Store it in the fridge and best use it in 2-3 weeks.

Best Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

soy sauce

water

rice vinegar

sugar (see note)

corn starch (+ 1/4 cup water

In a medium sauce pan, combine soy sauce, water, rice vinegar sugar, ginger, red pepper flakes (or sriracha sauce), and garlic and give it a good stir.

Bring heat up to medium, whisking occasionally until sauce comes to a boil.

Stir corn starch into water (or soy sauce) and whisk into boiling sauce. Continue to stir as sauce thickens.

Stir in sesame seeds. Serve with your favorite Asian-inspired dish or allow to cool before storing in airtight container in fridge for later use (see notes for &quot;leftovers&quot;). Enjoy!

+ 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar

Tablespoon honey

ginger

Make the teriyaki sauce by adding all of the sauce ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for about 1 minute. The sauce should be thick enough to coat the back of the spoon.

Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl.

In a medium saucepan, add remaining ingredients along with the cornstarch/water mixture.

Stirring frequently, bring sauce to a simmer. Cook until sauce thickens and reduces to about half. Sauce will be dark brown.

Once sauce has thickened up, remove from heat and serve immediately!
