Broken Glass Jello

boxes Jello gelatin (, assorted colors)

Dissolve each box of jello into its own individual container, using 1 cup of boiling water per flavor (no more than 1-inch deep.) Chill until solid, about 3 hours or overnight.

Once solid, cut each of the different flavors into small square cubes.

Using a 9×13 glass dish, gently mix the cubes together in an even layer (being very careful not to break or tear them.)

In a medium-sized bowl, dissolve 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin in 2 cups of hot water. Let the hot mixture cool slightly and then whisk in the sweetened condensed milk.

Let mixture cool to the touch (If it&#039;s too warm, it could melt the Jello cubes.) Then evenly pour the mixture over the cubes of Jello. 

Chill in the refrigerator overnight.

Cut into squares and serve.

Broken Glass Jello is a beautiful and impressive looking dessert. But let me tell you a secret, this stained glass jello is not complicated at all! Follow my step by step instructions to make this fun dessert.

14 oz can condensed milk

Start by preparing the four different flavours of jello, but dissolving each jello flavour into one cup of hot water each.

Let the jello set in separate containers in the fridge, for about 1 hour or so.

While the jello is setting, dissolve the gelatine powder in 1/4 cup of cold water. Once its completely dissolved, add 1 cup of hot water and the condensed milk.

Mix until combined.

Cut the set jello into cubes and place randomly into a serving dish. I used a rectangular dish.

Now pour over the condensed milk mixture, and transfer the dish to the fridge to chill for 1-2 hours or until completely set.

When ready to serve, cut the broken glass jello with a sharp knife into cubes.

Serve immediately.

Shortcut Stained Glass Jello Salad

Measure 1/2 cup tap water in a medium-size bowl. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the water. Let stand to soften.

Remove the gelatin from the plastic cups by running a knife around the inside edge. Turn them upside down on a cutting board.

To cut into cubes, cut in half horizontally. Then, make 2 even slices from the top to the bottom. Lastly, make 2 more slices from the top to the bottom across the first 2 slices. (Or cut them randomly into cubes.) This will give you 12 pieces.

Gently place these in an 8x8, 9x9, or 11x7 dish or pan as you cut them so the colors are evenly distributed.

Microwave the remaining 1/2 cup water in a microwave safe measuring cup or bowl at HIGH for 45 seconds or until hot but not boiling. Slowly stir it into the softened gelatin until it is completely dissolved. Stir the sweetened condensed milk into this mixture until combined.

Pour this milk mixture over the gelatin cubes. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or until firm enough to slice. Cut into squares or rectangles.

Set out two 13x9 pans or dishes (you can also use four square pans) and lightly spray them with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine 2 boxes of lime gelatin with 2 cups of boiling water.

Pour the cherry gelatin into the other 13x9 pan.

Place the pans into the refrigerator to set for about 1-2 hours.

Lightly spray another 13x9 glass dish with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, stir together unflavored gelatin and 2 cups hot water until completely dissolved.

Stir in condensed Milk

let cool

Let set until mostly cooled down, about 20 minutes.

MAKE JELLO

Meanwhile, remove gelatin from the refrigerator and cut it into small cubes, about 1-inch square.

Evenly place the gelatin cubes in the prepared 13x9 pan.

cover cubes with mixture

When the milk and gelatin mixture is cooled, carefully pour it over the flavored cubes.

Place it in the refrigerator to set for at least 4 hours.
