Apple Scrunch (Apple Dump Cake)

apple pie filling

(15.25-ounce) box yellow or butter cake mix

unsalted butter, melted

pecans

Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Spread the pie filling in the bottom of the prepared dish then sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over.  Drizzle the melted butter over the top. Use a butter knife to make a few large swirls to mix some of the ingredients together, but don&#x27;t over-do it.  Sprinkle the pecans over the top then bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Strawberry Cobbler

all purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.  Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries.

Combine strawberries, orange juice, and 1/2 cup of the white sugar in a medium pot and cook over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour into the prepared baking dish.

In another bowl, combine the flour and the remaining 1/2 cup of white sugar. Use a pastry blender or two forks to cut 1/2 cup of the butter into it. It will be dry and crumbly. Sprinkle it on top of the strawberries.

Soften the remaining 1/4 cup of butter and mix with 1 cup brown sugar. Drop into dollops on top of the flour mixture.

Bake for 55 minutes to an hour, or until golden, bubbly, and the cobbler is cooked through. Serve with vanilla ice cream or a generous pour of heavy cream.

Easy Apple Crisp

Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the apples and orange juice and toss to coat. Pour evenly into the prepared baking dish. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter until a crumble forms. Sprinkle over the apple mixture.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until the filling is thick and bubbling around the edges and the apples are tender. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Thanks for this easy recipe; I'll be using it for berry crisps too! I used gluten free flour and it turned out great. But I will say, I used more apples and half the sugar this recipe called for and it turned out just right. The full sugar would just be too sweet in my opinion, especially if you're having it with ice cream.

I used apple cider for the liquid as I had that on hand. Made it yesterday and I think my husband saved some for today.
