This easy 10 minute salad is a delicious and vibrant side. Dressed in a lemon and olive oil dressing, it&#039;s light, refreshing and full of flavor.

Lebanese Cabbage Salad

green cabbage

tomatoes

parsley

green onions (sliced)

extra virgin olive oil

lemon juice

mint

¼ teaspoon sumac (optional)

salt

garlic (pressed)

In a small bowl, mix the ingredients of the dressing together.

Place shredded green cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley in a large bowl. Pour the dressing over the coleslaw and toss to combine.

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.

I'm accustomed to tweaking recipes but this is just perfect as it is!  We paired it with Maqluba for a fresh crunch. Will definitely make again.

Thanks, I LOVE this salad. We have it every couple of weeks. I make a big batch and it keeps really well for a few days. It is an excellent side dish for fish, meat or veggie curry. Depending what we are having it with, I swap the tomatoes with grated carrots. Trying to use less oil, I use the tiniest bit of olive oil, and add some chopped toasted almonds, and it still tastes really fantastic. So great for when you look in the fridge and think - what am I going to do with this cabbage that has been sitting in here for weeks! Cabbage is a cheap ingredient and keeps really well. Easy Cabbage Salad - this is seriously the best, simple, basic cabbage salad recipe, made with shredded cabbage, carrots and tomatoes (optional). Fresh and low-calorie apple cider vinegar dressing makes is light and perfect for summer. This salad goes well with chicken, steak or seafood.

Easy Cabbage Salad

apple cider vinegar

olive oil

sugar

Dijon mustard (optional)

black pepper (optional)

cabbage

cucumber

tbsp chopped fresh dill

Whisk all ingredients for the dressing in a small jar and shake.

In a bowl, combine all ingredients for the salad and pour dressing on top.

Stir and let it sit for 10 min, then serve. You may need to add more salt to season the salad for your taste.

So easy to make! Added a little oregano to it and tasted delicious!

This Lebanese Cabbage Salad, known as Malfouf salad is incredibly easy to make, and so delicious. It is loaded with fresh and vibrant flavors like mint, and lemon juice.

Malfouf Salad (Lebanese Cabbage Salad)

Bag of Pre-Shredded cabbage ((or 6 cups of freshly shredded))

Tomato ((Thinly Sliced) Optional)

Mint ((or 1 tb. dried mint))

Olive Oil

Lemon ((Juiced))

Salt

Thinly slice about a half a head of cabbage. You can alsouse a pre-shredded bag of cabbage. *If using tomato, thinly slice the tomato to asimilar size to the cabbage

Wash and pack your mint leaves together tightly and thinlyslice. Add to the cabbage.

Add the salt, lemon juice and olive oil and toss together. Serve immediately.

Great recipe. Fresh and simple and so good! I made this for lunch today white fish and tahini sauce. It was a perfect meal. I think this is my favorite way to eat fresh cabbage. I'm not a big fan of mayo - too heavy. Thanks for introducing me to Malfouf. I can't wait to try your other recipes.

This simple cabbage and carrot salad features shredded green cabbage, julienned carrots, and fresh dill. Tossed in a tangy and slightly sweet creamy mustard dressing, it&#039;s a refreshing and nutritious side dish perfect for any meal. The salad can be used as a side dish for grilled meats, a topping for tacos or sandwiches, or enjoyed on its own for a light and healthy meal.

Simple Easy Cabbage and Carrot Salad Recipe

julienned carrots (packed (about 3 carrots))

dill

onion

tbsp black sesame seeds (or use regular)

tbsp mustard

tbsp honey (pr maple syrup)

sour cream

tbsp apple cider vinegar

tsp sea salt

garlic granules (or powder)

Cut cabbage into thin slices with a knife or use a mandoline slicer for uniform long thin slices.

Peel the carrots then julienne: in one of two ways: with a knife or with a julienne peeler.

Slice the onion and chop the fresh dill.

Prepare ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, chopped dill, sliced onion, and sesame seeds ( I used them for aesthetic appeal plus dds a nutty flavor and a bit of crunch).

To make the dressing, just whisk together all ingredients in a separate small bowl and mix until homogeneous.

Then add the dressing to the chopped salad ingredients and mix to coat. You can use 2/3 of the dressing or all, adjust to your liking.

Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

Cabbage Salad

red cabbage

red bell pepper (stemmed, seeded, and very thinly sliced)

almonds

avocado oil

peanut butter

maple syrup

sesame oil

In a large bowl, toss together the green cabbage, red cabbage, red pepper, carrots, and cilantro.

Make the dressing: In a medium bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together the avocado oil, vinegar, peanut butter, maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and salt.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Set aside for 10 minutes to allow the cabbage to soften.

Season to taste and top with the almonds. Toss and serve.

This was delish and suoer simple! I tweaked a bit based on what was in the house. I used sunflower seeds instead of almonds, and I completely omitted the avocado oil using just the apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, maple syrup, and garlic for the dressing. Oh, and I added 4 ounces of shredded chicken leftover from last night. I have already added it to My Fitness Pal so it will be a staple.

An excellent salad as written. We like it even more when usi tahini instead of peanut butter.

This cabbage salad was fun to make. (Yes, fun. I enjoyed cutting all the vegetables up.) I made it exactly as written and used pepitas. It was deliciously crunchy.

This was Excellent! Changes: 6 cloves of garlic, 1 bunch of cilantro, doubled the sesame and used “hot” sesame. Has a Thai overtone that we both loved!

I can not stop eating this salad. I’ve made 3x in 7 days and shared the recipe with multiple people. I have turned this into a main meal by adding quinoa. On my second attempt I did add minced red onion and crushed peanuts, rather than almonds. It’s so versatile and just simply delicious!

I've made this twice so far and I love it! The dressing is absolutely perfect. The second time was for a potluck, and almost all of it disappeared. Thank you!
