This easy 10 minute salad is a delicious and vibrant side. Dressed in a lemon and olive oil dressing, it&#039;s light, refreshing and full of flavor.

Lebanese Cabbage Salad

green cabbage

tomatoes

parsley

green onions (sliced)

extra virgin olive oil

lemon juice

mint

¼ teaspoon sumac (optional)

salt

garlic (pressed)

In a small bowl, mix the ingredients of the dressing together.

Place shredded green cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley in a large bowl. Pour the dressing over the coleslaw and toss to combine.

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.

I'm accustomed to tweaking recipes but this is just perfect as it is!  We paired it with Maqluba for a fresh crunch. Will definitely make again.

Thanks, I LOVE this salad. We have it every couple of weeks. I make a big batch and it keeps really well for a few days. It is an excellent side dish for fish, meat or veggie curry. Depending what we are having it with, I swap the tomatoes with grated carrots. Trying to use less oil, I use the tiniest bit of olive oil, and add some chopped toasted almonds, and it still tastes really fantastic. So great for when you look in the fridge and think - what am I going to do with this cabbage that has been sitting in here for weeks! Cabbage is a cheap ingredient and keeps really well. Easy Cabbage Salad - this is seriously the best, simple, basic cabbage salad recipe, made with shredded cabbage, carrots and tomatoes (optional). Fresh and low-calorie apple cider vinegar dressing makes is light and perfect for summer. This salad goes well with chicken, steak or seafood.

Easy Cabbage Salad

apple cider vinegar

olive oil

sugar

Dijon mustard (optional)

black pepper (optional)

cabbage

cucumber

tbsp chopped fresh dill

Whisk all ingredients for the dressing in a small jar and shake.

In a bowl, combine all ingredients for the salad and pour dressing on top.

Stir and let it sit for 10 min, then serve. You may need to add more salt to season the salad for your taste.

So easy to make! Added a little oregano to it and tasted delicious!

This Lebanese Cabbage Salad, known as Malfouf salad is incredibly easy to make, and so delicious. It is loaded with fresh and vibrant flavors like mint, and lemon juice.

Malfouf Salad (Lebanese Cabbage Salad)

Bag of Pre-Shredded cabbage ((or 6 cups of freshly shredded))

Tomato ((Thinly Sliced) Optional)

Mint ((or 1 tb. dried mint))

Olive Oil

Lemon ((Juiced))

Salt

Thinly slice about a half a head of cabbage. You can alsouse a pre-shredded bag of cabbage. *If using tomato, thinly slice the tomato to asimilar size to the cabbage

Wash and pack your mint leaves together tightly and thinlyslice. Add to the cabbage.

Add the salt, lemon juice and olive oil and toss together. Serve immediately.

Great recipe. Fresh and simple and so good! I made this for lunch today white fish and tahini sauce. It was a perfect meal. I think this is my favorite way to eat fresh cabbage. I'm not a big fan of mayo - too heavy. Thanks for introducing me to Malfouf. I can't wait to try your other recipes.
