Easy Cajun Air Fryer Fish

fish

olive oil

tbsp cajun seasoning

tsp smoked paprika

garlic powder

lemon juice

salt and black pepper (to taste)

Slice the fish into portions then place in the air fryer basket.

In a small bowl, mix together the oil, spices and lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Spoon the cajun-spiced oil over the fish, coating each piece thoroughly.

Air fry the fish at 200?/400? for 8-10 minutes until the fish is caramelized on the outside and opaque and fork tender on the inside.

Remove the fish from the air fryer and serve with lemon wedges and side dishes of your choice.

Cajun Blackened Fish Recipe

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Heat a saute pan, or any large heavy pan with a tight-fitting lid, on the stove over medium heat. Add the butter.

When the butter has melted, add the chopped onions, peppers and celery and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened (4-5 minutes).

Stir in the rice, and toast until lightly browned, stirring frequently so it doesn't burn. Slowly pour in the chicken broth, add the salt, and stir.

Simmer for 5 minutes on the stove, then cover with a tight-fitting lid. If your lid is not tight-fitting, cover the pan first with a sheet of aluminum foil, and then with the lid, to prevent steam from escaping.

Bake 20-25 minutes until all the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

Rice Pilaf

While the rice is cooking, in a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, salt, thyme, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne.

Sprinkle the fish generously with the spices on all sides, patting to make sure they adhere.&nbsp;

Heat a large cast iron skillet over high heat until it is very hot. Add the oil, and place the fillets in the skillet. Work in batches if they do not all fit at once. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on the first side and gently lift a fillet with a spatula to check the color. Once they are a dark brown, flip and cook on the other side for about 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Serve over rice.

Blackened Tilapia Recipe - Cajun fish

Tilapia Fish

tbsp N’Orleans Cajun Seasoning

tbsp. Coconut Sugar or brown sugar

Kosher Salt

Black Pepper

tbsp. Olive Oil

lemon juice – Optional

In a small bowl, mix together the N’Orleans Cajun seasoning, and all of the other spices. Set aside.

Wash and pat dry the fish. And set on a plate.

Sprinkle the seasoning over the fish. Turn the fish on the other side and season with the Cajun mix. Set aside. Make sure that the fish is well coated on both sides. Let sit for at least 10 minutes or place in the refrigerator if not using right away.

In a large skillet or nonstick pan, heat the olive oil. When the pan is hot, add the fish and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Cook 2 at a time.

Turn fish over and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until fish is golden brown on both sides. Repeat the steps with the remaining 2 fish.

Serve warm and enjoy with lemon!
