My Carmels got burnt (partyly my fault) because I put them in a microwaveThere were only 2 caramels  then it harden before I could dip them in the nuts I ended up useing 2 Milky Way chocolate bars instead though still really yummy also at the end there was a big mess and I ended up not use if nuts.

Made these for a pumpkin carving party yesterday.  They were easy to make and a BIG hit at the party.  Only comment is that I felt the vodka didn't penetrate the grape skin so I couldn't tell I soaked them in it.  I even let them soak for 2 hours instead of 1 and still didn't get infused into the grapes.  I made some without (for the kids) and some with (for the big kids) and we couldn't tell the difference.  Save yourself some money  on the vodka (unless you want to drink it because it is delicious) and just dip the grapes in the caramel and nuts.  There is no need to soak them in anything.

I can't wait to try these! Um...not skipping the caramel vodka.

I just made them for a party yesterday. I used Malibu rum instead of vodka!  They were such a hit everyone loved them. I waited for the grapes to dry and become room temp before I dipped them. Had no issues whatsoever

Caramel Grapes are a new and exciting way to enjoy this popular fruit! The idea for candied grapes is simple: take a bunch of grapes, dip them in melted caramel &amp; candy melts, cover with pecans and let them cool. YUM!

Grapes (washed & patted dry)

11 oz Kraft Candy Caramels

TBSP Milk

White Candy Melts

Pecans

Caramel: Unwrap caramels and place in a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 TBSP milk and microwave for 1:30. Let sit for an additional 2 minutes. Stir gently, then microwave in 30 second intervals, letting caramel sit 1 minute and stirring between intervals, until caramel is smooth.

Prep: You need to wash and remove stems from about 20 grapes. Then insert a toothpick into each grape, place on a parchment covered baking sheet.

Coat: Dip grapes gently into your melted caramel and tap off the excess. Set down gently onto a piece of parchment paper. (If caramel drips off, scrape caramel back into bowl and let cool for 5 minutes, then try again.)
