Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a large cookie sheet or two small cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Peel and slice the carrots into sticks about a half inch wide. This vegetable peeler does a great job.

Place the carrot fries on the cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Use your hands to toss the carrots to coat them with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes, tossing once in the middle of the cooking time. We like ours a little bit browned.

Let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy!

Carrot Fries (Ranch Seasoned!)

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Peel the carrots. Cut the carrots into thin fries: slice off the ends, then square off each of the sides to make a rectangular box shape. Cut into 3/8-inch wide slices, then cut the slices into strips. 

Place the fries in a large bowl. Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, salt, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Drizzle the carrots with the olive oil, then add the spices and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly to combine.

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Spread the fries on the paper, placing them as far apart as possible. 

Bake 12 minutes on one side, then flip the fries and bake 12 to 17 additional minutes until the fries are dry and slightly browned; watch them carefully as the cooking time can depend on the thickness and the heat of your oven. Thinner fries will turn out crispier than larger fries (you’ll likely have some variation).

Cool a few minutes, then serve immediately. (Note: Fries are best right out of the oven; they become softer as they sit.)

These good-for-you baked carrot fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just like a perfect French fry should be.

Carrot Fries with Chipotle Sauce

Preheat

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Set a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet.

Trim off the tops and tips of the carrots. Cut them into thin sticks, about 1/2-inch (12 mm) wide and 4 inches (10 cm) long.

Steam

In a covered steamer basket set over a pan of simmering water, or in the microwave in a covered microwave-safe dish with 2 tablespoons of water, steam the carrots until just tender, 4 to 5 minutes. Pat the carrots completely dry.

Toss

In a large bowl, toss the carrots in the olive oil. In a second large bowl, whisk the flour, garlic and onion powders, paprika, and salt together. Add the carrots and toss to coat.

Roast

Arrange the carrots in a single layer on the wire rack, taking care to make sure they are not touching each other. Roast until the carrots are crispy, about 30 minutes.

Make the carrot fries

In a medium bowl, combine the chipotle mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons maple syrup. Taste, and add more maple syrup, if desired.

Serve

Serve the carrot fries immediately with the chipotle dipping sauce.

Easy 15 Minute Air Fryer Carrot Fries

Peel and cut the carrots.  This is very easy to do. Use a vegetable peeler to peel the carrots, then slice off the ends. If the carrots are longer then slice them in half and then cut them into 1/4-inch thick carrot sticks. Expert tip: Thinner-cut fries will get crispier and take less time to cook.

Season the fries. In a small bowl combine the garlic powder with the salt and pepper. Drizzle the fries with avocado oil, toss, and then season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and toss to coat them all in the seasoning.

Cook. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Once it is ready, spray the basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking. Place the carrot fries into the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook them for 8-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.

Garnish and serve. Once the carrot fries are done, let them cool for a minute then plate them and garnish them with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and parsley.

Easy and super yummy. I make it aaaaaaalll the time!

Easy Roasted Carrot "Fries"

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Arrange your carrots on a cutting board.

Cut the ends off of the carrots.

Peel the carrots.

Slice into matchsticks, each about the width of a pencil.

Place the sliced carrots onto a large rimmed baking sheet and toss with the olive oil and salt.

Spread out as evenly as possible (this will help them to get a little crisp in spots, which makes them really yummy).

Bake for 20-24 minutes or until just starting to brown and are soft in texture. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Cook on 200C / 390F for 15-20 minutes, flipping the carrots halfway through, until they are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.  You may need a taste test here but I'm sure there won't be a complaint there!
