g cream cheese (cubed, room temperature)

g blue cheese

gladwrap (large pieces)

Add nuts and herbs to mixer bowl, chop for 3 sec/speed 6/MC on or until finely chopped.

Add nigella seeds, sesame seeds and pepper to the bowl. Mix for 5 sec/speed 2/MC on.

Remove nut mixture to a piece of the gladwrap retaining 1 Tbsp in the mixer bowl. Flatten the mixture out with your hands into a large rectangle.

Add remaining ingredients and blend for 10 sec/speed 6/MC on. Scrape bowl down and repeat once.

Spoon even amounts of cheese mixture in a line down the centre of the nut mixture. Using the gladwrap, form into a log and twist the ends of each side tightly to remove air and compress mixture. Tie off ends, apply second piece of gladwrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.

You want to start off by slicing up the cheeses and arranging them on a large wooden or marble cheese board. Make sure to scatter them as far apart from each other to make room for all the other ingredients. ￼

Depending on the cheese, some may need to be crumbled like the Beacher&#039;s flagship cheese. Other cheese that is soft and spreadable like the fromager d&#039;affinois or garlic herb spread will need to have a small butter knife wedged into it for serving.

Start with the cheeses

Next, begin slicing and folding your cured meats. You want to start with the biggest pieces such as the prosciutto. It’s super thin so all you need to do is simply let them drop in a ribbon right onto the serving board. ￼

Now fold up the Genoa salami, and soppressata into quarters and fan them out beside each other like a deck of cards. The Spanish chorizo is a bit smaller so all you need to do is fold it in half and lay them out the same way.

For the peppered and Nola salami, use a sharp knife to slice them into thin rounds and lay them out onto your cheeseboard. Always make sure to spread your meats in sections apart from each other. It looks so much prettier that way!

Now you can begin filling your marinated olives, jams, and honey into small bowls or mini glass jars. Try to stay consistent with the type of bowls you use. If you use a bunch of different types, it could look messy.

Once your condiments are arranged on the board, begin adding the fruit (clusters of grapes, strawberries, sliced pear, and blueberries.

Then you can add the crackers and bread. I used Artisan Rosemary crackers, French bread, whole wheat crackers, and cranberry hazelnut Raincoast crisps.

The last and final step would be to add the dried fruit and nuts. The reason we add these last is that once you reach the end of a charcuterie board assembly, you’re left with tiny spaces to fill. Small things like pistachios, almonds, pecans, and small dried fruit fit perfectly in all those little pockets.

Before serving, you want to let your charcuterie board ingredients come to room temperature for about 1 hour for optimal flavors.

How to make the ULTIMATE Charcuterie Board

These are the ingredients we used to create this cheese platter. Use this as a general guide for creating your own platter! Add different cheese and seasonal fruit to your platter.

You want to use a variety of cheeses on your platter. Variety comes in the form of hard, soft, and semi-soft cheeses. Also aged and new.

Start with a platter or cutting board. Don’t be afraid to choose a larger piece and really make a statement with the arrangement. 

Place all of the cheese around the platter. Space them out, separate soft cheeses, cut larger wedges into two, and place next to each other.

Fill mini bowls with olives, nuts, jam, and honeycomb. 

Place the bowls around the cheeseboard.

 Crackers are a crucial part of the cheese platter. Add them around the platter. 

After the larger items are placed, add the charcuterie to the platter.

Fill in areas with pretty sliced fruit. Fan the fruit out for a pretty look.

Place small bowls of tapenade, olives, honey, or jam on the board. Add color by filling large blank areas with sliced fruit, then place your crackers and nuts across the board in clusters.

Place small spoons or serving utensils in bowls, and position cheese knives near the relevant cheeses. Look at your board and fill any bare spots with additional nuts or fruit. You might drizzle some honey over soft cheese. Now, you&#8217;re ready to serve!
