This is the perfect Cheesy Gordita Crunch Copycat Recipe, just like the one found at Taco Bell! It&#039;s a hard shell taco wrapped in flatbread stuffed with cheese.

Cheesy Gordita Crunch Copycat Recipe

lb extra-lean ground beef

tbsp taco seasoning

Salt & pepper

hard taco shells

cheddar cheese, divided ((plus more for serving))

mini flatbread

iceberg lettuce

sour cream

tsp ranch seasoning

hot sauce (such as tabasco)

Preheat oven to 400 F. Heat a large skillet over high heat, breaking up ground beef with a spoon and seasoning with salt &amp; pepper. Add taco seasoning and cook for 10 minutes until fully cooked.

Meanwhile, mix sour cream with ranch seasoning and hot sauce. Divide taco meat among hard taco shells and set aside.

Divide cheese overtop of flatbreads, then bake in the oven for 5 minutes until cheese has started to melt. Remove from oven, then wrap around hard taco shells, pressing gently.

Add spicy ranch sauce to tacos, followed by lettuce and a tiny bit more cheese. Serve and enjoy!

Higher Protein Cheesy Gordita Crunch

85/15 Ground beef, 227 g

Chipotles in Adobo, a spoonful

Tomato Paste, a spoonful

Cumin, a sprinkle

Salt, a sprinkle

coriander,

MSG, a sprinkle

Yogurt, 1 part

Sour Cream, 1 part

Hot Sauce, a drizzle

Garlic Powder, a sprinkle

Kashmiri Chili Powder, a sprinkle

Lettuce, 30 g

Cheese, 30 g

Tomatoes, 15 g

Hard taco shell, 2

Keto flour tortillas, 2

Sear the beef

Place a pan over high heat. 

Add the beef and smash it down into a thing later with your hands or a spatula. Season with the salt, msg, cumin, coriander, and chipotles in adobo. Let it sear until a nice browning forms on the bottom. 

Once it’s seared, smash up the beef into pieces. Add the tomato paste and mix it together.

Mix the spicy ranch

Add all of the ranch components to a bowl. Mix together and adjust the seasonings to taste.

Melt the cheese

Gather all the remaining components. 

Lay the soft tortilla on the bottom of a pan. Add the cheese in an even layer and let it melt slightly. Cover the pan with a lid to steam the cheese.

Assemble & enjoy

Add the crunchy taco on top of the melty cheese tortilla. Fill the crunchy part with beef, a drizzle of spicy ranch, tomato, and lettuce. 

Close up the soft tortilla around the crunchy. Add it back to the pan and let it crisp up on each side before devouring. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
