Cheesy Taco Bombs are buttermilk biscuits filled with seasoned ground beef and cheese, brushed with garlic butter with taco seasoning, and baked to golden brown. They are a delicious twist bursting with a classic taco flavor that is sure to be a hit! Enjoy a couple to make them a meal, or serve as an appetizer for the big game or party!

Cheesy Taco Bombs

beef

(1 ounce / 2 tablespoons) taco seasoning

(129.5 g) salsa

(8-count) refrigerated biscuits, (not flaky)

(56.5 g) mild cheddar cheese, (shredded, divided)

(½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, (melted)

garlic powder

taco seasoning

cilantro, (chopped for garnish)

salsa

sour cream

Cook ground beef. Add taco seasoning and salsa.

In a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef for 8-10 minutes, or until no longer pink. Drain excess grease if necessary. Add taco seasoning and salsa. Stir to combine and set aside.

Preheat oven. Spray oven-safe skillet with nonstick cooking spray.

Preheat the oven to 375°F* and spray a 10-inch oven-safe skillet with nonstick cooking spray.

Roll out each biscuit.

Remove the biscuits from the can and place them on a clean work surface. Using a rolling pin, flatten each biscuit to about a 5-inch circle with ⅛-inch thickness.

Top biscuits with cheese.

Add 1 tablespoon of cheese on top of each biscuit.

Top with taco meat.

Top the cheese with an equal amount of taco meat, about ⅓ cup each.

Seal mixture inside.

Pinch the edges of the biscuit together to seal the mixture inside.

Place sealed biscuits into skillet.

Place the sealed biscuits, seam-side down, into the prepared skillet.

Make garlic butter.

In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, and taco seasoning.

Brush each biscuit with garlic butter.

Brush the top of each biscuit with the garlic butter.

Bake.

Bake for 24-26 minutes, or until golden brown.

Garnish and serve.

Garnish with cilantro and serve with salsa and sour cream.
