<em>Chewy fudgy homemade brownies made completely from scratch. Try them with chocolate frosting and sprinkles on top! You will never make a box mix again, trust me.</em>

Chewy Fudgy Homemade Brownies

(115 grams) salted or unsalted butter*

chocolate

(150 grams) granulated sugar

(50 grams) packed light or dark brown sugar

eggs

vanilla extract

+ 2 Tablespoons (80 grams) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)

Tablespoons (11 grams) unsweetened natural or dutch-process cocoa powder

salt

(180 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips

optional: chocolate buttercream

Melt the butter and chopped chocolate in a medium saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. Or melt in a large microwave safe bowl in 20 second increments, stirring after each. Remove from the heat, pour in a large mixing bowl, then allow to slightly cool for 10 minutes.

Adjust the oven rack to the lower third position and preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line the bottom and sides of a 9&#215;9 inch square baking pan* with aluminum foil or parchment, leaving an overhang on all sides. Set aside.

Whisk the granulated and brown sugars into the cooled chocolate/butter mixture. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking until smooth after each addition. Whisk in the vanilla. Gently whisk in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Once combined, fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour/spoon batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-36 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull away from the edges of the pan. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with only a few moist crumbs when the brownies are done. All ovens are different, so keep an eye on them after 30 minutes and use the toothpick test to see when yours are finished.

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack. Once cooled, lift the foil out of the pan using the overhang on the sides. Frost with chocolate buttercream, if desired. Cut into squares. For neat squares, I use a very sharp knife and wipe it clean with a paper towel after each cut.

Unfrosted brownies stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week. Frosted brownies stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Homemade Chewy Fudgy Brownies Recipe

These brownies are SO good!! They'll be my new go-to when I want something fudgy and rich. I had a late-night chocolate craving  and had to adjust the recipe for my limited supplies, but they still turned out great. I halved the recipe (scrambled two eggs in a bowl and poured out 3/4 to get a "half" an egg) and baked them in a little 8x4 inch loaf pan. I also added 1/8 tsp of espresso powder, as I always do to chocolate-y things.

They baked in 45 minutes, still just a liiiittle uncooked in the middle (just like I wanted). I didn't even bother with frosting, since they don't need it. But next time, I may make a mint frosting to go with -- these would be a great fudgy base for a grasshopper bar.

These are The Most Delicious brownies I have ever eaten. You can’t make boxed brownies ever again after trying these. Yes, they are decadent, so savor every morsel!

(75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder

vegetable oil

(63 grams) all-purpose flour

cornstarch

(128 grams) semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a 8 by 8-inch pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

In a microwave safe bowl, add the butter and sugar. Microwave for about 1 minute, or until the butter is melted. Whisk in the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir in the oil and cocoa powder.

With a rubber spatula, stir in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the brownies are set and a cake tested inserted into the center has moist crumbs attached. Do not overcook. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.

Brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

These one-bowl brownies are fudgy and decadent, with a hint of coffee flavor.

Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat the oven to 350°F. Coat an 8x8-inch baking pan with cooking spray, then line with parchment paper so that it hangs over two sides of the pan. Lightly coat the parchment with cooking spray. 

Coarsely chop 12 ounces of semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate. Place in a medium microwave-safe bowl and add 1 stick unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is melted and smooth, about 1 minute and 30 seconds total.

Add 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, and whisk to combine. Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and whisk to combine. 

Place 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons instant coffee or espresso powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder in a small bowl and whisk to combine.

Pour the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture and stir until just combined with no streaks of flour. Transfer the batter to the baking pan and spread into an even layer.

Bake until a tester comes out with just a few crumbs, about 35 minutes. Let cool 1 hour before removing the brownie slab from the pan and cutting.

Dense, fudgy, and chewy, this is truly the best brownie recipe! It requires only a handful of ingredients and a few minutes of time.

My Chewy Brownies recipe yields the chewiest brownies known to man, packed with gooey melted chocolate. You have to give them a go!

Gemma's Chewy Brownies Recipe

(8 ounces 225 grams) butter, melted

vegetable oil ((coconut

eggs, ((room temperature))

(5 ounces 142 grams) all purpose flour

½ cups (9 ounces 255 grams) bittersweet chocolate ((roughly chopped))

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) then butter and line an 8x8 inch baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl add the melted butter, oil, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla.

Using an electric hand mixer, whisk for about 5 minutes at high speed until the mixture becomes very thick. You can also do this by hand but you will just really need to give it some welly.

Over the same bowl sift in the flour and cocoa powder. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until JUST combined (do NOT over mix). Fold in half of the chocolate chunks.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, then smooth the top. Generously top with the remaining chocolate chunks.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center of the brownies no longer jiggles and is JUST set to the touch.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature before removing from the baking tray and slicing into 16 brownies. Enjoy!

The Perfect Chewy Brownie Recipe

These classic, chewy, chocolate-packed brownies are made from scratch in just one bowl with pantry staples, and better than even the best boxed mix.

One-Bowl Chewy Brownies

(85 g) unsweetened chocolate

Tablespoons (1 stick, 1/2 cup, or 115 grams) unsalted butter

(265 g) granulated white sugar

espresso

flaky sea salt

(85 grams) all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Set aside an 8x8 or 9x9-inch baking pan. Line the interior with parchment paper, if you like, to make it easy to lift out the baked brownies.

In the microwave at 50% power or in a medium saucepan set over low heat, melt together the chocolate and butter, stirring frequently. When fully melted and smooth, remove from heat. Add the sugar, espresso powder, and eggs, whisking vigorously to fully incorporate. Add vanilla and sea salt and whisk again.

Sprinkle flour and chocolate chips over the batter. Stir with a spoon or spatula just until combined. Scrape batter into the prepared baking pan, using the spatula to press batter into the corners if necessary.

Bake 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few crumbs. Let cool, cut, and serve.

We love this easy, no-fuss brownies recipe made with cocoa powder, eggs, and brown sugar. These homemade brownies are fudgy and gooey in the middle and chewy around the edges. We love them! Line a 13&#215;9 baking dish with aluminum foil slings, which makes it easier to lift the brownies out once they&#8217;re cooled. Spray the foil liberally with non-stick baking spray, set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk the flour and sea salt together until combined. Set aside.

In a large bowl, add the cocoa powder and espresso powder. Pour in the hot water, and whisk vigorously until smooth. Add the finely chopped unsweetened chocolate and whisk until no lumps remain and mixture is smooth and completely melted.

Pour in the oil and melted butter, and continue to whisk until somewhat combined. This mixture will separate and look a little curdled, but don&#8217;t worry &#8212; that&#8217;s normal.

Add the eggs and egg yolks, plus the vanilla extract, and whisk until fully combined. The eggs will help bring the mixture together, so it&#8217;ll look a lot better by now.

Whisk in the sugar until fully combined, then pour in the flour and salt mixture. Fold the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture until no flour pockets remain and mixture is smooth. Then, fold in the chopped semi-sweet chocolate.

Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish, and bake for 30 minutes on the middle oven rack.

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool for 1 to 2 hours on either a baking rack or trivet. Slice into 24 squares, and serve.

These brownies were soo good! my work friends loved them! I'm from the UK so found it a bit hard to convert everything to grams/millimetres though, so look forward to the day that theres a conversion on the site!
