Chicken Broccoli Pasta with Bacon is an easy dinner that a whole family will love!&nbsp; Great recipe for those who want protein (chicken) and veggies in their creamy pasta.

Chicken Broccoli Pasta with Bacon

Parmesan cheese (shredded)

oz fettuccine pasta ((for gluten free version, use gluten free brown rice fettuccine))

broccoli florets (, blanched)

Heat olive oil on medium-high heat in a large skillet.  Season chicken breast with salt and pepper.&nbsp; &nbsp;Add chicken to the skillet.

Cook chicken breast on high heat for 2 to 4 minutes on each side, until browned.&nbsp; Remove the skillet from heat and keep the chicken covered.&nbsp; The chicken will continue cooking in its own steam until no longer pink. Remove chicken from the skillet. You can also use pre-cooked chicken. Cut chicken into thin slices.

Add minced garlic to the same (now empty) skillet, with oils and bits left from cooking the chicken.&nbsp;

Add heavy cream, milk, bring to boil.&nbsp; Reduce to simmer.&nbsp; Add cheese and stir till it completely melts into a creamy sauce.

Cook pasta according to instructions.  Drain.

Add cooked pasta, cooked bacon, cooked broccoli to the creamy sauce and mix everything in.&nbsp;

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with sliced cooked chicken.

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain pasta, reserving 3/4 cup of the pasta water and setting aside.

Stir in reserved pasta water, parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper. Once cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sauce, give it a taste and add more salt and pepper as needed.

Prepare the broccoli

Preheat oven to 400. Toss the broccoli with 2 tablespoons olive oil, garlic powder and a bit of salt to taste.

Roast broccoli

Spread the broccoli out in a single layer in a medium roasting pan. Place in the oven to roast for about 25 to 30 minutes until the broccoli turns tender and begins to brown. Remove roasted broccoli from oven and set aside.

Start boiling water

Sauté garlic

As the broccoli roasts, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil on medium heat in skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Simmer with wine and herbs

Stir the cooking wine and herbs into the chicken. Reduce heat to medium low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.

After the chicken simmered with the cover on for 5 minutes, add the roasted broccoli to the skillet. Stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 3 to 5 additional minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Remove from heat, keeping covered to keep warm until ready to toss with pasta.

Cook the pasta

. Add the pasta to boil shortly after adding the chicken to the skillet. Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain.

Toss the ziti together
