Char Siu Fried Rice, is full of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors! Made with char siu, also known as Chinese BBQ pork, white rice, and plenty of seasonings, sauces, and other aromatics, it’s a restaurant-quality meal that’s so easy to make.

Char Siu Fried Rice

cooking oil

char siu (thinly

onion (finely diced)

garlic (finely diced)

ginger (finely minced)

white rice (cooked)

shoyu

oyster sauce

sesame oil

eggs

salt

pepper

green onion (thinly sliced)

Set a large wok or pan over medium high heat. Add cooking oil of choice and char siu. Cook until the char siu has heated through.

Then add onions. Cook until fragrant. Next add garlic and ginger. Continue cooking until the onions have become translucent.

Add the rice to the wok and stir to combine.

Next drizzle over shoyu, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.

Create a well in the center of the rice. Add eggs to a small bowl along with salt and pepper. Whisk to combine and pour into the well in the rice. Scramble eggs to your preference and cook through.

Then mix eggs into the rice. Top with green onions. Toss until just combined. Serve hot and ENJOY!

Ingredients:

1 small onion, finely diced

2 eggs

3 stalks green onion, thinly sliced

Directions:
1. Set a large wok or pan over medium high heat. Add cooking oil of choice and char siu. Cook until the char siu has heated through.

Better than take out CHAR SIU FRIED RICE

Chicken long rice is a favorite of locals in Hawaii. It is a flavorful, light dish that is great on its own, or with any of your favorite Hawaiian foods!

Hawaiian Style Chicken Long Rice

chicken broth

soy sauce

garlic (minced)

ginger (peeled and grated)

sugar

chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

bean thread noodles ((aka cellophane noodles))

onion

Hawaiian sea salt ((optional,

ginger

In a large stockpot, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sugar. 

Bring to a boil and add chicken thighs. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes.&nbsp;

In the meantime, place bean thread noodles in a large bowl and pour warm water over them. Enough to cover the noodles completely. You just want them to start loosening up.&nbsp;Set aside until chicken and broth is done cooking.

When chicken is cooked through use a slotted spoon to remove from the broth (do not discard the broth) and shred. Skim any grease or foam from the broth and then return chicken to the broth.&nbsp;

Stir noodles into the broth and simmer another 5 minutes or until noodles are soft and translucent. Add more chicken broth if needed if you like the noodles to be more "soup" like.&nbsp;

Add more soy sauce to taste (optional) and garnish with green onion.
