These four unique chicken marinades are perfect for adding delicious flavor to your chicken before grilling or baking. Each marinade is for 1 pound of chicken.

4 Easy, Healthy Chicken Marinades

Lime

olive oil

lime, juiced

tbsp honey

garlic,

cilantro, chopped

Sprinkle of salt

pepper

Curry Yogurt

allspice

cumin

cardamom

curry powder

Greek yogurt

Turmeric Pineapple

tbsp tamari (gluten free soy sauce)

apple cider vinegar

pineapple juice

tsp ginger

turmeric

Greek Lemon

lemon, juiced

oregano

basil

For each of the marinades, place all ingredients into a Ziploc bag or a large ceramic dish.

Add 1 pound Just BARE Chicken of choice to the bag or dish, and mix well to evenly coat.

Let the chicken marinade in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before cooking.30 minutes before you’re ready to cook the chicken, remove the chicken from the marinade.

For boneless skinless chicken breasts: preheat grill to medium high and lightly oil the grate. Cook chicken breast 6-8 minutes per side, until juices run clear and chicken in no longer pink.

For chicken drumsticks: place the chicken on the grill and cook for 8 minutes, then flip, brush with the reserved marinade, and grill for an additional 8 minutes. Turn the chicken over one last time, brush again with the remaining marinade, and cook for 5 more minutes, or until no pink remains in the center of the chicken.

6 Simple Chicken Marinades

chicken breast (2 to 3 breasts)

lemon (juiced (about 3 tablespoons juice))

garlic

thyme

Dijon mustard

salt

black pepper

cilantro leaves (chopped)

limes

chili powder

honey

garlic (minced)

tamari soy sauce (or coconut aminos)

sesame oil

rice vinegar

green onion (thinly sliced)

ginger (about ½-inch piece)

lime (zested and juiced (about 2 tablespoons juice))

paprika

white wine vinegar

Italian seasoning

red pepper flakes

Whisk marinade

Choose a chicken marinade flavor and place all the ingredients (minus the chicken breast) into a medium bowl and whisk to combine.

Pour marinade

Place the chicken breasts into a glass container or sealable bag. Pour the marinade on top of the chicken, making sure it is covered. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or for up to 8 hours. (*See notes above for cooking and serving ideas!)

6 EASY CHICKEN MARINADES | amazing chicken breast recipe + freezer friendly meal prep

This Lemon Pepper Chicken will keep you coming back for more! The wonderful citrus and peppery flavors work so well together with chicken. You will find yourself coming back to this recipe time and time again!

Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken

Zest lemon before squeezing juice. This step will just make your life easier.  Use a citrus zester and make sure not to overdo it. You just want the yellow bits, not the bitter white part that lies right under the rind. After zesting, cut lemons in half and squeeze juice through a strainer into a bowl.

Combine lemon juice, zest, garlic. Slowly drizzle in olive oil until well combined. Add remaining ingredients and stir through.

Place boneless, skinless chicken breasts into a resealable plastic bag, and pour mixture over top. Coat well, release air from bag, seal, and place into the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. If using marinade on wings or drumsticks, marinate them for 2-4 hours.

Preheat your grill for medium heat (375 degrees F).

Remove chicken breasts from marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning 1-2 times during the cooking process. Once they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, at the thickest part of the breast, they are done.

Let the chicken breast rest for a few minutes before slicing.

For even cooking, flatten the chicken breasts before marinating. Place them between two pieces of plastic wrap, and gently hit them with the blunt side of a kitchen mallet. Aim for a 1/2&quot; thick uniform shape.
