These Oven Baked Chicken Parma Meatballs with an Italian tomato sauce and melted cheese are a family favourite! Kid-friendly, easy and delicious!!

Oven Baked Chicken Parma Balls

500 g chicken mince

brown onion, finely chopped

herbs

120 g panko breadcrumbs (see note)

salt and pepper, to season

onion, finely chopped

garlic, crushed

olive oil

tomato paste

water

oregano

tbs chopped parsley

tsp raw sugar

grated cheese (parmesan, mozzarella, cheddar etc)

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius (fan-forced).

Add all meatball ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined.&nbsp;

Roll into 1 tablespoon-sized balls and place into a baking/casserole dish. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.&nbsp;

While the meatballs are cooking, make the tomato sauce by placing the chopped onion, garlic and olive oil into a frying pan and sautéing for 2 minutes.

Add all other sauce ingredients and simmer on low heat.&nbsp;Add more water if needed.

When the meatballs have cooked for 20 minutes, pour the tomato sauce over the top and grate over the cheese. Bake for the final 15 minutes. Serve.&nbsp;

Conventional Method

Place the onion into the Thermomix bowl and chop on Speed 6, 5 seconds. Scrape down the sides and repeat.

Add all remaining meatball ingredients and mix on Speed 5, 15 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix for a further 10 seconds. 

Roll into 1 tablespoon-sized balls and place into a baking/casserole dish. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. 

While the meatballs are cooking, make the tomato sauce by placing the onion and garlic into a clean Thermomix bowl. Chop on Speed 6, 10 seconds. Scrape down the sides and repeat if needed. 

Add the olive oil and saute for 2 minutes, 80 degrees, Speed 2. Add the remaining sauce ingredients and cook for 20 minutes, Varoma, Speed 1. 

When the meatballs have cooked for 20 minutes, pour the tomato sauce over the top and grate over the cheese. Bake for the final 15 minutes. Serve. 

Thermomix Method

These delicious Thermomix Chicken and Parma Balls make the perfect  quick and easy dinner!

Thermomix Chicken Parma Balls.

breadcrumbs (3 slices of stale bread.)

garlic

cheese

zucchini

carrots

kilogram chicken mince

tbsp herbs

tbsp onion flakes

salt and pepper

tomato passata

mozarella (grated)

Preheat oven to 190 degrees celsius (fan-forced).&nbsp;

Place the stale bread, parmesan cheese and garlic into the Thermomix bowl and mix for 10 seconds on Speed 8. Set aside.

Place the zucchini and carrot into the Thermomix bowl and mix for 4 seconds, speed 6 to grate. Add the breadcrumb mixture.

Add the chicken mince, mixed herbs and onion flakes and mix for 10 seconds, speed 4 to combine.

With wet hands form mixture into small meatballs and place into a greased baking dish. Place into the oven for 35 minutes.

While the Chicken Parma Balls are cooking, combine the passata, tomato paste, water, mixed herbs and onion flakes into a clean Thermomix bowl and cook for 6 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 2.

Remove the Chicken Parma Balls from the oven and carefully pour the tomato sauce over the top. Sprinkle over the cheese and return to the oven for a further 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
