Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with moist crumbs. The blondies will be slightly browned around the edges. Cool for at least 20 minutes in the pan before lifting the blondies out by the parchment paper. Set on a wire rack to finish cooling before slicing and storing in an airtight container.

A deliciously soft and flavorful dessert, these Cherry Chocolate Chip Bars are filled with maraschino cherries, chocolate chips and frosted with a creamy cherry buttercream!

Cherry Chocolate Chip Bars

sugar

butter (softened)

mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Tablespoon maraschino cherry juice

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

With a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat all bar ingredients, besides cherries, chocolate chips, and egg whites. Start on low scraping sides as needed, turn to medium once ingredients are combined and beat for two minutes.

Add egg whites and beat again on medium for two minutes.

Stir in cherries and chocolate chips.

Pour into greased pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, until the toothpick comes out clean in the center. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

To make frosting, beat all ingredients together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

Spread frosting onto cooled bars. Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips desired. Enjoy!

Thick and chewy, these Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are quick and easy to make, with less than 10 minutes of prep. They have all the flavors of your favorite chocolate chip cookies and little of the work. A family favorite recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

½ cups (339 grams) unsalted butter,

½ cups (330 grams) light brown sugar, packed

(143 grams) granulated sugar

eggs

(30 milliliters) pure vanilla extract

¾ cups (525 grams) all-purpose flour

(7 grams) salt

(4 grams) baking soda

(1, 11 ounces bag) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Maldon Flakey Sea Salt for Garnish

Combine the softened butter with the brown and granulated sugar. Beat on medium speed until well combined, 2-3 minutes.

Next, add the eggs and vanilla extract and continue beating until well incorporated.

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining dry ingredients. Stir to combine and slowly add the dry ingredients into the dough, mixing on low speed until the dough starts to form. Before the dough thickens, add the chocolate chips (reserve a small handful to sprinkle on top of the dough). Beat until incorporated.

Press the cookie dough into a 9-inch by 13-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the top with a few more chocolate chips. Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with flakey sea salt. Allow the cookie bars to cool completely before slicing.

I made these &amp; I had a question about what pan you used? Glass vs ceramic vs metal? I used my 9x13 le creuset pan lasagna pan &amp; it ended up  taking me just under 38min to get them cooked all the way through! Do you think it was the pan making the difference? They tasted ok, but a little soft in the middle.

On the plus side, the recipe was REALLY easy to follow &amp; the dough was lovely to work with, not too sticky &amp; smoothed really well in the pan. I may try next time subbing out browned butter for a richer, chewier flavor! Love your site ❤️
