Chocolate Drop Cookies

Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

Heat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.

In large bowl, beat granulated sugar, 1/2 cup butter, the buttermilk, vanilla, egg and 2 ounces melted chocolate with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt.

On cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched in center. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

In 2-quart saucepan, melt 2 ounces chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter over low heat, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and hot water until smooth. (If frosting is too thick, add more water, 1 teaspoon at a time. If frosting is too thin, add more powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.) Spread over cookies.

Preheat oven to 400℉. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.&nbsp; Set aside.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and cocoa.&nbsp; Add eggs and vanilla.&nbsp; Blend in sour cream and milk.&nbsp; Mix until creamy scraping down the sides and bottom of the bowl periodically.&nbsp; Add sifted flour mixture.&nbsp; Mix well.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Drop cookie dough onto a parchment lined cookie sheet with an ice cream scoop (approximately 2 tablespoons of dough).  Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes or until the dough springs back after lightly touching.  Let cool completely before icing.

Easy to make cookies that start with a cake mix. Just add 3 ingredients for rich chocolaty, minty cookies. Perfect for the holiday season!

Cake Mix Chocolate Cookies with Peppermint

15.25 oz package boxed chocolate cake mix

vegetable oil

peppermint chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and eggs. Beat just until mixed.

Stir in peppermint chips.

Here you have the option of rolling the dough into a ball and then rolling in confectioner&#39;s sugar before placing on the prepared cookie sheet or just dropping by teaspoonful onto the cookie sheet, spacing about 2&quot; apart.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes on cookie sheet on wire rack. Remove from cookie sheet and finish cooling cookies on wire rack.

Store in airtight container on countertop.
