Chocolate Peanut Butter Dump Cake

boxes chocolate cake mixes (15.25 oz/432 grams)

chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz/110 grams)

milk (375 milliliters)

Reese's peanut butter cups minis (unwrapped) (8 oz/226 grams)

peanut butter

cream cheese, softened (227 grams)

sugar (105 grams)

heavy whipping cream

butter, melted (113 grams)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 13"x9" pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, stir together 1 cake mix, chocolate pudding and milk. Fold in 1 (8 oz) bag of Reeses chocolate peanut butter cups minis. Pour into prepared pan and spread to cover bottom of pan.

In another large bowl, add cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar and cream. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Spread over cake batter.

Using the remaining box of cake mix, sprinkle the dry cake mix over cream cheese mixture. Pour melted butter on top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes. Let cool completely.

Spread Cool Whip over cooled cake. Sprinkle with chopped peanut butter cups. Serve with drizzled chocolate syrup on top. Store covered in refrigerator for 2-3 days. Best the first day.

Melt 1/2 cup of butter and pour it into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.

Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the butter.

Sprinkle dry pudding mix over the cake mix.

Add milk.

With a fork, try to spread out the milk so that the dry cake mix and pudding are all a little bit moistened. You don&#039;t need to fully mix it, but rake the fork through so all the dry ingredients get wet.

Top with chocolate chips, then mint baking chips.

Lay the butter pats evenly across the top.

Bake for about 50-60 minutes. 

Serve warm.

Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream plus extra peppermint baking chips as a garnish.

I tried lemon cake mix and lemon pudding (obviously left out the cocoa) and used white chocolate chips. I thought about a spice cake mix with cheesecake pudding and use caramel bits but I haven’t tried that one yet.

My husband went crazy over this cake! He ate a whole row in one sitting and asked if we had any vanilla ice cream! I love that it doesn't take so many eggs since they are so expensive now!

made this and it was delicious!! super easy and tasty. I added in coconut flakes and chocolate chips in the batter, in addition to chocolate chips on top. The amount of milk was a little too much, I used 1.75ish cups .
Want to make it again and try different things, maybe nuts instead of coconut.
