Chocolate Syrup

water

sugar

cocoa powder

salt

vanilla extract

In a small pot set over medium-high heat, mix water and sugar until dissolved. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring regularly.

Stir in cocoa powder and salt, and continue stirring and simmering for about two more minutes or until cocoa powder is all dissolved and mixture is smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Store chocolate syrup in a jar in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Syrup Recipe

(200 grams) sugar

vanilla

Combine the dry ingredients and water.

Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and water in a medium saucepan.

Whisk over medium heat.

Put the saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to simmer.

Simmer.

Let it simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add vanilla.

Remove the pan from the heat and add in the vanilla. It will thicken as it cools so don&#039;t worry if it seems thin.

Cool and chill.

Let the syrup cool before storing it in an airtight jar.
