Cold Brew Coffee

coffee (100 g)

water (700 mL)

Steep: In a large pitcher or jar, combine ground coffee and water. Cover and let sit in fridge for 12 to 24 hours.

Strain: Strain the coffee concentrate through a towel-lined mesh sieve (or a French press).

Serve: Fill glass partially with coffee, then top it off with water (I like ¾ coffee and ¼ water, but the strength is to your preference). Top with cream, milk, or simple syrup, to taste.

Frosty and satisfying cold coffee is a fantastic treat to enjoy on a warm day. This cold coffee recipe with step-by-by photos is a classic for preparing blended ice coffees that are perfectly sweet, creamy and frothy – just like from your favorite cafe!

In a blender take your instant coffee, raw sugar, add warm water.

Blend for a minute or until the coffee solution becomes frothy and the brown color lightens a bit.

Add 6 to 7 ice cubes. For a thick cold coffee, you can reduce the ice cubes from 2 to 4.

Pour 2 cups cold milk.

Whole milk gives a slightly thicker consistency and is richer. You can opt to make the cold coffee with skimmed milk or low-fat milk. If you decided to add either, then reduce the ¼ cup water to about 2 to 3 tablespoons.

Blend for 1 to 2 minutes or until the milk is mixed evenly with the coffee concoction and you see a nice frothy layer on top.

Pour in glasses and serve cold coffee. The frothy top layer will settle into the beverage as it sits, so it’s best to enjoy blended iced coffee right away.

This homemade Cold Coffee is super refreshing on a hot summer day! Made with readily available ingredients, it&#39;s rich, creamy and so frothy!

milk (chilled, 480 ml/16 oz)

vanilla ice cream (optional)

Heat up 1/4 cup milk in a pan or microwave. Add instant instant coffee  to it. You can adjust the amount of coffee powder to taste and how strong coffee you prefer.

Add in the sugar (adjust to taste). You can add more or less depending on the sweetness you prefer.

Using a spoon or whisk, mix everything together. Since the milk is hot, the coffee and sugar will dissolve easily.Your sweet coffee mix is now ready to be added to the blender. You can also straight away use 1/4 cup of a strong filter coffee decoction or espresso shot.

To your blender, now add 2 cups chilled milk. I have used whole milk here. Also add 3 to 4 ice cubes (optional).

Add the prepared coffee-sugar mix into the blender. At this point, you can use add vanilla ice cream if you want. Close the lid and blend for few seconds until everything is mixed together and the coffee is frothy.

Transfer to glasses and serve immediately. You can pour some chocolate syrup in the glasses and chill for 15 minutes before pouring the coffee in glasses. The foam will settle down after a while so this is best enjoyed immediately especially if you like frothy coffee.

Blender

Pour a tablespoon of melted chocolate or chocolate syrup across the inner side of the serving glasses. Pop it in the fridge for 5 minutes.

Add coffee, sugar and warm water to a blender jar. Run the machine till the mixture turns frothy to ensure sugar and coffee are dissolved completely.

Pour chilled milk, ice cubes and ice cream (2 scoops, optional)

Blend again for 2 minutes until the cold coffee turns frothy, thick and creamy.

Pour cold coffee to the garnished glass. Scoop the ice cream and gently top the drink and garnish with little chocolate syrup.
