cottage cheese dip

This healthy herbed veggie dip is a cinch to make and pairs perfectly with veggies, crackers and/or chips. Cottage cheese gives the dip an ultra creamy texture and a boost of protein, while garlic, dill and scallions lend it an irresistible flavor. You can serve the dip on snack boards, on crudité platters, or as a simple but nutritious snack. It’s also fabulous with potato chips for a lightened-up game day appetizer!

Healthy Cottage Cheese Veggie Dip

garlic clove

lemon juice

Hood Country Style Cottage Cheese

oregano

dill

scallions

milk

Salt and black pepper

Plop the garlic into a mini food processor and process until finely chopped. Add the lemon juice, cottage cheese, dried oregano, dill, scallions and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Process until smooth. Taste and season with more salt and pepper as needed. If you prefer a thinner texture, blend in a touch more milk.

This Cottage Cheese Dip takes just 5 minutes to whip up and once you taste it, you'll want to dip EVERYTHING into it! Be sure to try the Jalapeno Ranch variation, if you like a little added spice.

Amazing Cottage Cheese Dip

cottage cheese ((4% milkfat))

garlic powder

onion powder

fine sea salt

black pepper

jalapeno

In a high-speed blender, combine the cottage cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, dill and black pepper. Add in 2 tablespoons of water, and secure the lid on the blender. Blend until the cottage cheese is smooth, with a whipped consistency.

Add 2 more tablespoons of water and blend again for a more runny texture. (I usually add 4 tablespoons of water total, but this will vary based on how watery your cottage cheese is.) Adjust any flavoring as you see fit, but keep in mind the flavor will develop even more when chilled.

For a Jalapeno Ranch variation (highly recommended!) add in the optional 3 tablespoons of jarred sliced jalapenos, and their juices, and blend again. For a less tangy or spicy flavor, you can start with just 2 tablespoons.

Transfer the dip to an airtight container and store it in the fridge. The flavor will develop even more after a few hours! It should keep well in the fridge for up to 5 days. Serve it as a dip with veggies, chips, or crackers, or spread it on sandwiches and tacos. It's also a delicious salad dressing!

This whipped cottage cheese dip with ranch seasoning turns a container of cottage cheese and simple spices into a delicious, healthy snack! A 5-minute, low-calorie, protein-packed dip that is easy to serve for gathering, an after-school snack, or a healthy post-workout treat.

Garlic & Herb Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip

basil leaves

thyme leaves

garlic clove, sliced

Add cottage cheese, basil, thyme, garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper to a high-powered blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, use a blender tamper or a spatula to scrape down the sides and get things moving as necessary, and blend again until silky smooth.

Serve as a dip with fresh cut vegetables or pita chips, on a sandwich, or spread on a toast with sliced heirloom tomato, olive oil, salt, pepper, and basil. This would also make an amazing pasta sauce!

It was good if you are looking for a healthy dip but if you want a "wow" app for guests, this is not the one. Pretty boring. I added all the fresh herbs, etc but it needed something to jazz it up.

This turned out amazing. My grocery store didn’t have fresh thyme, so used fresh basil and dill- it turned out delicious but didn’t have the gorgeous green color. I added a bit of olive oil just to make it a bit more smooth.

Fantastic! Almost like a high protein, healthier, green goddess dressing. Truly wonderful dip! Thank you!

Made this last night to take to an outdoor concert with friends, served with veggies. Everyone loved it!!

Have made this twice in the last week. Unbelievable for veggies!!!

This is delicious-who knew this about cottage cheese!! I did add a little bit lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Thank you for another great recipe.
