These Makeover Cranberry Bliss Bars are SO good, with less than half the calories and fat of the ones you buy at Starbucks and so much cheaper to make yourself!

Skinny Cranberry Bliss Bars

all purpose flour (Gold Medal)

tsp baking soda

tsp salt

cinnamon

sugar

brown sugar (unpacked)

unsalted butter

apple sauce

tsp vanilla extract

white chocolate chips chocolate

cranberries (chopped)

oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese (softened)

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Lightly spray a 9 x 13 inch non-stick baking pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and stir to blend.

In another bowl, whisk the sugars with the butter, egg whites, applesauce and vanilla until light and fluffy.

Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients in two additions until the batter is very well blended. If the batter looks more “crumbly” than smooth, add just a drop of water at a time (ONLY if needed) until it smooths out.

Fold in white chocolate chips and 1/3 cup cranberries. Spread batter onto the baking pan using the back of a measuring cup to smooth evenly.

Bake 10 - 14 minutes, until the edges are light brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Don't over-bake or your bars will be dry. Let it cool completely on wire rack.

Meanwhile, prepare the frosting; in a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla until well-blended. Frost bars and sprinkle with remaining cranberries. Drizzle with the melted white chocolate.

*To melt the chocolate, place in a microwave safe cup and heat 15 seconds; stir. Another 15 seconds; stir until the chocolate is melted.

When the chocolate sets, cut into 15 large squares (5 cuts by 3 cuts with the knife). Then cut each square in half diagonally to create triangles. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Cranberry Bliss Bars {Starbucks Copycat Recipe}

(2 sticks) butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 15x10 or 13x9 inch jelly roll pan or rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. *see notes

Beat together melted butter and brown sugar over medium speed with an electric mixer. Add in eggs, 1 tsp orange extract, and 1 tsp vanilla extract and beat until mixed well. Add in ground ginger, baking powder, salt, and flour, beating until just blended. Don't overmix.

Stir in white chocolate chips and Craisins by hand. Spread evenly into the bottom of prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes until set and golden brown at the edges. Don't overbake or bars will be hard. Remove from oven and place pan on a wire rack to cool. Allow bars to cool completely before topping with frosting.

To make the frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add 1/2 tsp orange extract and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and mix well. Top cooled bars with frosting. Sprinkle with chopped Craisins and drizzle white chocolate over the top with a fork. I dip my fork into the chocolate then shake it gently over the top of the bars to create little streaks. You can either slice right away and enjoy, or place the bars in the refrigerator for about an hour (what I like to do) to help them set up before cutting. Cut into triangles and enjoy!

Starbucks Copycat Cranberry Bliss Bars

You&#039;ll love these copycat Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars! Soft blondies, white chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and cream cheese frosting.

Cranberry Bliss Bars

unsalted butter (melted and cooled slightly)

brown sugar (packed)

cranberries

cream cheese (softened)

unsalted butter (softened)

milk (to thin)

orange zest (optional)

white chocolate chips (melted (see note))

Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x11 pan with foil and grease the foil. 

Wet ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until well combined, at least one full minute. Add egg and vanilla extract, whisk until combined.

Dry ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and stir with a rubber spatula until the ingredients are combined. Stir in ½ cup of dried cranberries and ½ cup of white chocolate chips.

Add to pan

Scoop the batter into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer (I moisten the palm of my hand with water and gently press it in).

Bake

Bake for 18-22 minutes. The bars are done when they have puffed slightly, are very light brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. They will appear a little underdone but they will continue to cook as they cool. Be careful not to over bake them. Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.

Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and orange zest (if using) and beat until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Add a splash of milk, if necessary, to thin the frosting. You can also thicken the frosting by adding a bit more powdered sugar, if necessary.

Topping

Spread the bars with the frosting . Scatter the dried cranberries on top. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the cranberries.

In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, combine the white chocolate chips and the coconut oil or cocoa butter. Stir frequently until melted and smooth.

If needed, add time in 15 second increments, letting the chocolate sit before stirring gently again. Once melted, transfer chocolate to a small baggie. Snip the corner and drizzle chocolate all over the top of the bars. Let sit to cool and harden.

Grip the parchment and remove the bars from the pan. Then cut them into 3 long rows, then 5 cuts to cut the bars into squares. Cut each square diagonally to make triangles. Serve &amp; enjoy!
