<p>Crock-Pot Tuscan chicken is a creamy chicken slow cooker recipe with delicious Italian flavors. The breasts are first cooked with garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichoke hearts. Once they're super tender, we mix in a creamy parmesan sauce to make this dish irresistible.</p>

Crock Pot Tuscan Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to your Crock-Pot and sprinkle the salt and pepper over the top. Add the garlic, artichoke hearts, and chicken stock and stir the pot. 

Set the timer to cook on high for 4 hours or use the MyTime™ technology to tell your Crock-Pot when you want dinner ready. 

When the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the pot. Add the spinach, stir, and let it wilt. Add the cream, parmesan, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir well. Serve the chicken with the sauce poured over the top.

Tuscan Garlic Chicken Fettuccine

chicken breasts (sliced in half lengthwise)

flour

pepper

baby spinach leaves (roughly chopped)

red bell pepper (diced)

fettuccine noodles

garlic

½ cups half and half ((heavy cream or whole milk can be substituted))

salt and pepper

Cook your fettuccine noodles according to package instructions (boil til tender), drain, and set aside. (see note)

Whisk together the 1/4 cup flour, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in the flour mixture, being sure to coat all sides.

Drizzle a large skillet with a little bit of oil (a couple of teaspoons will work) and allow to come to temperature over medium heat. Lay chicken in the pan, cover, and cook for 3-5 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook another 3-4 minutes until browned on the outside and white though the middle. Transfer chicken to a plate and set aside while you make the sauce.

Wipe out your skillet with a dry paper towel. Add butter and saute over medium heat til melted. Add garlic and saute another minute or so til fragrant. Sprinkle with flour and stir til mixture clumps to gather.

Gradually whisk half and half into the pan until completely combined. Add spinach and red peppers and cook another 2-3 minutes until spinach is wilted. Add parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper and stir until melted and sauce is thickened.

Top fettuccine noodles with chicken (sliced or whole), and pour the sauce over the top. Enjoy!

In a large skillet, warm olive oil over medium-high heat. Place flour in a small bowl or plate. Lightly sprinkle each side of the chicken breasts with kosher salt and black pepper, then dredge each side lightly through the flour. Shake off any excess, then place chicken breasts in the warm pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, just until browned and no longer pink in the center. Remove chicken to a plate and set aside. 

If the skillet is dry, add a tiny bit more olive oil, followed by the garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant. Add chicken broth, and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

Add cream, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce visibly thickens.

Stir in spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, and simmer for 1-2 minutes, until spinach wilts.

Add chicken back to the skillet, spoon a bit of sauce over each piece, and serve with pasta or other sides as desired.

Use a paper towel to pat the chicken breasts completely dry. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until the hot oil sizzles, about 1-2 minutes. Add chicken and sear until golden brown, 6-8 minutes per side. Set aside on a plate.

In the same skillet, add butter and garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, tomato paste, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until smooth and bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in spinach and sun-dried tomatoes and cook until the spinach has wilted, about 1 minute.

Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon some sauce over to coat. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce until the sauce has thickened to a desired consistency, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Serve immediately with pasta, rice, or potatoes.

Flavor and difficulty level were both great, super quick and easy and nice flavor. I would just say that the chicken needs to be pounded out first because it ended up being a bit tough and chewy, since it's breast meat. Other than that it was great! Thank you!

In a large non-reactive skillet over medium heat and melt in 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp olive oil. Season chicken all over with about 1/2 salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Add chicken to the hot skillet and sauté 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through to a safe internal temperature of 165 ̊F on an instant-read thermometer.

Remove chicken from the pan and transfer to a cutting board to cool then slice chicken if desired.

In the same pan over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp oil and sliced mushrooms, and sauté 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until lightly golden and excess liquid has evaporated. Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes, green onion, minced garlic 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Sauté another 1 minute or until garlic is fragrant.

Stir in cream and sprinkle 1/2 cup parmesan cheese over the top. Bring to a light boil, stirring frequently then reduce heat and simmer (2 minutes) until sauce is slightly thickened. Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper.

Add spinach and stir just until wilted. Add chicken back to the pan, and spoon warm sauce over it then remove from heat. Garnish with chives if desired.

How To Make Easy Tuscan Chicken Recipe

Well-seasoned bone-in chicken (drumsticks and thighs) paired with fresh leaf spinach and cherry tomatoes nestled in a creamy, rich sauce make this One-Pan Creamy Tuscan Chicken the perfect anytime meal idea!

One-Pan Creamy Tuscan Chicken

chicken

tsp black pepper, divided

tsp ground thyme, divided

tsp sea salt, divided

tbsp butter

tbsp minced

oz cherry tomatoes

oz fresh organic leaf spinach

cheese,

oregano

tsp parsley flakes

onion powder

Cut the chicken leg quarters at the joint to separate the drumstick (leg) from the thigh. Season both sides with paprika, 1 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon sea salt. Coat evenly with flour.

Heat large pan/skillet to medium. Add olive oil and cook chicken for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set to the side.

Add butter and garlic to the pan and allow to cook for 1 minute. Add cherry tomatoes to skillet and cook for 1 minute before adding the spinach. Cook spinach until it begins to wilt. 

Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, oregano, parsley flakes, 1 teaspoon ground thyme, onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, and stir. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for 3 -4 minutes. Add chicken back into the pan. 

Place in pre-heated oven at 400 degrees and bake uncovered for 20 minutes. 

This recipe was perfect! We didn’t have time to marinate but these didn’t need it. The flavor was perfect! My son loved them!! Thank you for sharing!

Delicious, easy and beautiful dish.  The burst tomatoes and spinach are so good in this and add great color and flavor.  Used boneless chicken thighs because that's all we had, so it shortened the cooking time.  Served over pasta. Everyone raved.

I made this the other night with a few adjustments to reduce the caloric and fat content.  It was delicious!
BUT it can not be made in 25 minutes.
If you add all of the recommended minimum times listed in the recipe the minimum total is 33 minutes WITHOUT prep time.
It is a disservice to say it can be made in 25 mins.
At sea level the minimum time for this recipe is somewhere between 45 mins - 1 hr.
Please change the time on this recipe.
I have been cooking for at least 45 yrs. my chicken was larger and I am at altitude so the bake time was longer.  It took 1.5 hours for me to complete this dish.

Making One-Pan Creamy Tuscan Chicken

Juicy pan-fried chicken breasts simmered in mushrooms, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes with a luxurious parmesan cream sauce.

1½ lbs chicken breast cutlets (skinless & boneless pounded to ¼-inch thick)

all-purpose flour (for dredging)

salt and black pepper

extra-virgin olive oil (plus more as needed)

brown mushrooms (sliced)

oz baby spinach

low-fat half and half (single cream)

white vinegar (optional)

Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)

basil (or parsley, chopped)

Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally with a sharp knife, then lay plastic wrap over the chicken breasts and pound them with a meat mallet or rolling pin until they are about a quarter-inch thick.

Combine the flour, salt, and pepper on a shallow platter.

In a shallow bowl, beat eggs with 3 tablespoons of water.

Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet.

Dip the chicken in the egg wash and shake off the excess before coating both sides with the seasoned flour.

Fry the coated chicken for 2 minutes on each side, turning once, until golden. Transfer to a large platter in a single layer.

If there are any burned bits in the pan, remove the oil, wipe clean with a paper towel and add 2 tablespoons of oil. If not, add more oil as needed.

Place the garlic in the pan and saute until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

Add The mushrooms and cook until browned and their moisture has evaporated. Then add the sundried tomatoes and mix to combine.

Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Add the half and half, stock, vinegar, parmesan cheese, pepper, and basil. Season lightly with salt, stir to combine, and bring to a boil.

reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, then taste for seasoning. Add salt as needed, and add the cooked chicken. Raise the heat to medium-high and return to a boil.

Lower the heat to low, and simmer until the chicken warms through and the sauce thickens slightly (about 5 minutes).

Serve Hot.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and place the chicken breasts into the oil to pan sear. Season with salt and pepper as the chicken cooks. Sear on each side for 5-6 minutes or until fully cooked. Once cooked, remove from the pan on a paper towel lined plate.

To the same pan, add the butter and fresh chopped garlic and cook until fragrant. Add in the spinach and cook until the spinach wilts.

Add in the heavy cream and chicken back into the skillet. Turn the heat to a medium-low flame.

To the creamy chicken, add in the red peppers and stir to combine. Lower the flame to simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Season with an additional salt and pepper sprinkling and serve as desired.

I was very nervous making this because it felt like it would be heavy, but not at ALL. I made it for my partner and my roomate, and we had it with some orzo pasta. DELICIOUS. Can't wait to make it again.
