Baked Lemon Pepper Baked Chicken Wings

garlic powder

onion powder

salt

lemon juice (plus more to taste)

black pepper

Toss the chicken wings with oil or ghee, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Place the wings on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes or until crispy, flipping half way through.

Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add the lemon pepper seasoning to the chicken wings and toss until they are well coated. Taste test a wing and add any additional salt or lemon juice to taste. Serve and enjoy!

Crispy Baked Buffalo Wings

cayenne pepper (optional; adds more heat)

Preheat the oven to 250℉. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place a baking/cooling rack on the baking sheet and set aside.

Place the chicken wing parts in a large bowl. Sprinkle with baking powder and salt. Toss well to coat.

Arrange the chicken pieces on the baking/cooking rack in a single layer so that pieces are not touching one another (use a second pan with a rack, if needed).

Place the pan in the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 250℉.

After 30 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 425℉ and continue cooking for another 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, rotate the pan and cook an additional 20 minutes or until the chicken is crispy and lightly browned.

While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce by combining the ghee, hot pepper sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and cayenne (if using) in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once the ghee or butter is melted, whisk to combine and remove from heat.

Transfer cooked chicken pieces to a shallow container (such as a 9&#215;13-inch pan) and drizzle with ½ of Buffalo sauce. Toss to coat.

Serve remaining sauce with wings or save for another use. May also serve with Homemade Paleo Ranch Dressing for extra dipping pleasure.

These Lemon Feta Chicken Wings are bursting with vibrant flavors. They are marinated in olive oil, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper, and baked until they are perfectly crispy on the outside, while still being tender and juicy on the inside. 

Crispy Lemon Feta Chicken Wings

In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, 2 tablespoons of the parsley, pepper, oregano, salt, and paprika. Whisk to combine.

Add the chicken wings and half of the marinade to a large bowl, toss to coat the wings and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours. Give the wings a good toss a couple times while they are marinating.

After marinating the wings, remove them from the marinade and line them in a single layer across paper towels. Cover the top with paper towels as well, and using your hands, press into the chicken to absorb excess moisture. Let sit for 10 minutes and then line them again on a fresh layer of paper towels, repeating the process. You want them to be as dry as possible so that they crisp up in the oven.

Place an oven rack in the middle-lower position and another rack in the middle-upper position. Preheat the oven to 250°F. Set a cooling rack on a rimmed baking sheet.

Combine the wings and baking powder in a mixing bowl and toss to coat the wings evenly.

Spread the wings in a single layer across the cooling rack. Bake on the middle-lower oven rack for 25 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to 425°F and move the baking sheet to the middle-upper rack. Bake the wings for an additional 45 minutes, or until the skin is nice and crispy.

Remove the wings from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Toss in the remaining marinade and sprinkle the feta and remaining parsley over top, before serving.

These were by far the BEST wings I have ever had! We had these with a homemade Greek side salad and it was the perfect dinner! Better than any restaurant wings I have ever had and so crispy!

I do have one question, when we make the wing recipes that call for baking powder, our tongues burn after eating the wings. I only use the suggested amount of baking powder even when doubling the recipes, is there something we can use instead or do differently to avoid the burn?
