Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs

BAKING POWDER

chicken seasoning, your favorite variety

tsp seasoned salt,

garlic powder

pepper

cooking spray

Adjust your oven racks to upper-middle and lower-middle positions. You need to start baking your chicken on the bottom rack and finish it off on the upper rack.

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees. 

Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with tinfoil and a rack coated in cooking spray. Set aside.

If your chicken seasoning is low or no salt or sodium you must use 2 teaspoons of salt or seasoned salt in this recipe. I just don&#039;t want your skin to taste salty (if you enjoy eating a little crispy skin like I do on occasion). Some chicken seasonings are have a high salt content.

In a small bowl or in a large resealable bag, combine BAKING POWDER, chicken seasoning, garlic powder, seasoned salt and pepper. Set aside.

Wash and pat your chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Trim excess fat or skin if necessary.

Place in the large resealable bag or bowl with powder mixture.

Adjust and shake the chicken thighs around. Make sure all of them are lightly coated in the baking powder mixture. Shake each thigh to remove excess coating before placing on your prepared baking sheet.

Place the chicken thighs on your prepared sheet. Bake for 50 minutes on the lower-middle rack.

Remove your thighs from lower-middle and move to upper-middle rack. Close your oven door and turn the temperature up to 425 degrees. Your oven needs to preheat with the chicken thighs inside it.

Bake for another 45 - 55 minutes and thighs are a nice golden brown color. Start watching your chicken thighs at about the 30 minute mark. Depending on the size of your chicken thighs you will need to check for the appearance of burnt spots. A few are ok but you don&#039;t want a lot of them.

Try to turn your baking sheet quickly, halfway through baking if your oven has a hotspot. Remove thighs from oven and let stand for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy|!

Baked Chicken Thighs {Ukrainian Mom's Recipe}

In 8 x 8 square baking dish, add chicken thighs, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Using your hands, toss to coat and let stand for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Toss chicken again, making sure to spread garlic and spices evenly, and arrange in a single layer skin side up, tucking in skin underneath. You want things tight.

Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes or until thermometer reads at least 165 degrees F, skin starts to brown and lots of juices accumulate in the dish.

Using a syringe/baster, pour juice over the thighs and then if you like more crispy skin (who doesn't?!) broil to your likeness.

Remove from the oven, cover and let stand for 5 minutes to allow juices to settle.

Serve warm, skin removed for healthier version with brown rice, quinoa or cauliflower risotto. It&#039;s a restaurant quality date night dinner.

Baked Chicken Thighs

This oven roasted chicken thighs so ingenious is the technique. Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs are baked until cooked through and then broiled to crisp the skin. The result? Juicy, flavorful chicken. Marvelously crisp skin.

Oven-Roasted Chicken Thighs

Eight (6- to 8-ounce) bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

Olive oil

fine sea salt

black pepper

Preheat

Crank the oven to 450°F (232°C) and adjust the oven racks to the middle and lowest positions. Place a rimmed baking sheet on the lower oven rack.

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. For best results, trim all visible fat from the thighs.

Season

Using the tip of a paring knife or a metal skewer, poke the skin of each chicken thigh 10 to 12 times. Lightly rub the chicken thighs on all sides with a little oil and season with salt and pepper.

Roast

Place the chicken thighs, skin side down, on the preheated baking sheet. Return the sheet to the lower rack. Roast the chicken thighs until the skin begins to brown and the meat registers 160°F (71°C), 20 to 25 minutes, rotating the sheet once halfway through cooking.

Remove

Remove the baking sheet with the thighs from the oven and heat the broiler. Carefully tip the baking sheet so the rendered chicken fat pours into a small dish. Let it cool and then cover and refrigerate it for another use or toss it in the trash.

Broil

While the broiler heats, use a thin metal spatula loosen the chicken skin and flip the chicken thighs skin side up. Slide the baking sheet with the chicken thighs onto the upper rack until the skin is crisp and well browned and the meat registers 175°F (79°C), 3 to 5 minutes, rotating the sheet as needed for even browning.

Rest

Arrange the chicken on a platter or plates and let it rest for 5 minutes before tucking into the moistest, crispest chicken thighs ever.

Easy Oven Baked Split Chicken Breasts are a healthy choice for any dinner! These flavorful bone-in baked chicken breasts turn out beautifully with a crispy seasoned skin while retaining their juices for perfect, tender, moist chicken meat!

Oven Baked Split Chicken Breasts (Bone-In)

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil (or coat a baking dish with olive oil or non-stick cooking spray).

Rinse and pat dry your split chicken breasts. Coat with olive oil, rubbing the olive oil into the skin and breast surface side that will be facing upward during cooking.

Place the chicken breasts, skin side up, on your prepared baking sheet. Season each piece of chicken, sprinkling with combined spices: salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.

*For extra crispy chicken skin, heat a skillet or frying pan to medium high heat. No need to add oil (it&#x27;s already on your split chicken breasts), place the seasoned chicken breasts skin side down and sear for 3-4 minutes or until nicely golden brown. Then place onto your baking sheet and continue with steps 5 &amp; 6.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches a minimum of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when checked with a meat thermometer. *Check next to the bone at the deepest (thickest) point in the breast meat.

Remove the baked chicken from the oven and allow it to sit for 3-5 minutes before being served.

Air Fryer Crispy Roasted Little Mini Baby Potatoes

- 1 1/2 pounds baby, mini or little potatoes

-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper chili flakes

Wash and dry baby potatoes with paper towel. If the potatoes are medium sized, cut into half. Get out and measure all of your ingredients.

In a large bowl, mix potatoes with spices such as garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red chili flakes, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.

Toss them to coat evenly.

Transfer the potatoes to air fryer basket and fry at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, toss to adjust the potatoes. Place basket back inside your air fryer.

Set timer for another 8 or 10 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and crispy. I will check at 8 minutes just to see how the potatoes look. If necessary I put the potatoes back in for 2 to 4 more minutes. Unfortunately the exact cooking time will vary depending on the size of the baby potatoes. 

Remove the roasted baby potatoes from air fryer basket and serve hot.

Serve with your favorite main course or with a dipping sauce. Enjoy every bite!

My friend also melts a few tablespoons of salted butter in her microwave. She places the finished potatoes, into a large bowl, right out of the air fryer, and tosses the finished potatoes with the butter. Sometimes she sprinkles them with pepper and a little salt if she used unsalted butter. Boy oh boy are these potatoes a treat and definitely worth a try!In some cases butter makes everything better! 😉 In this case the butter is a treat and I promised her I&#039;d share it with you.
