Crispy sweet potato fries made in the air-fryer, with just a small amount of oil! Making them in the air fryer is so much healthier than frying, and reduces the fat and calories, without sacrificing taste.

Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries

medium peeled sweet potatoes (12 oz total)

olive oil

tsp kosher salt

garlic powder

sweet paprika

black pepper (to taste)

Preheat air fryer to 400°F 8 minutes.

Lightly spray the fryer basket with oil.

Slice each potato into even 1/4 inch thick fries.

Toss with oil, salt, garlic powder, black pepper and paprika.

Cook in 2 or 3 batches, without overcrowding the pan 8 minutes, turning half way.

Sweet Potato Fries

Preheat

Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of your oven. Preheat oven 400 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk

Place the egg white in the bottom of a large mixing bowl. Briskly whisk until it is foamy.

Cut potatoes into fry-shaped sticks that are about ¼- to ½-inch wide and 3-inches long. Make the pieces as uniform as possible, so that the fries bake evenly. Place the fries in the bowl with the egg white as you go.

In a small bowl, stir together the curry powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne.

Toss

Sprinkle the spices over the fries. Toss to coat the fries evenly. Try to get them to be as evenly moistened and seasoned as possible.

Spread

Spread the fries onto the baking sheets, dividing them evenly between each. Make sure the fries are not crowded or they will steam and not crisp up.

Bake

Flip

Remove the pans from the oven, then flip the fries over (I recommend using a large spatula—scoop the fries in big sections, then use a fast turn of your wrist).

Rearrange

Rearrange the fries back into a single layer to make sure they are not overlapping. If any look like they are browning too quickly, keep these towards the center or front of the baking sheet (the back of the oven tends to be the hottest).

Return the pans to the oven, switching their positions on the upper and lower racks.

Continue baking until the fries are crisp and brown on the outside and tender on the inside. The ends may look very dark on some of the fries and you’ll see lighter brown spots in a few places. This will take about 10 to 15 additional minutes, depending upon your oven and what size you cut the fries.

Serve

Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with a pinch of additional salt. Serve immediately.

Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

medium sweet potatoes ((about 800 grams/1.75lbs altogether))

tbsp Cornflour ((Cornstarch in USA))

tsp white pepper

((use

paprika

tsp cumin

tsp garlic salt

tsp black pepper

parsley (finely chopped)

Preheat the oven to 200C (400f) and line a large baking tray with non-stick foil.

Peel and slice 5 medium sweet potatoes. You want to cut them into long fingers approx 10mm x 10mm thick.

Place sweet potato fries into bowl then add 2 tbsp of cornflour, 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika and 1/2 tsp cumin.

Mix together until all the sweet potatoes have a nice coating of the cornflour mixture.

Drizzle over 4 tbsp of olive oil and mix together to coat the fries in the oil.

Transfer the coated fries onto the prepared baking sheet, try to esnure they don&#39;t touch or overlap if possible - as this will stop them getting crispy.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes

Tip into a bowl and toss with 1/4 tsp salt (optional), 1/4 tsp garlic salt, 1/2 tsp of cracked black pepper and 1 tbsp of finely chopped fresh parsley then serve.

Craving crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries? You&#39;ve come to the right place! I&#39;m sharing a few of my tips and tricks so you too can have perfectly crispy, oven-baked sweet potato fries.Serves 4.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries

kosher salt (plus more if desired)

Start by scrubbing 2 medium sweet potatoes that are similar in size and shape. Peel and trim the ends off of the sweet potatoes. Cut into flat 1/4-inch planks and then slice those into 1/4-inch(ish) sticks or fries.

Soak the fries in a bowl filled with cold water for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours. If soaking for longer than 2 hours, I personally would refrigerate.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, measure and add the cornstarch, kosher salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and freshly ground black pepper. Stir this together until thoroughly combined. Set off to the side.

Place a empty, rimmed metal baking sheet in the oven and then preheat your oven (with the pan) to 425°

Meanwhile, drain the sweet potato fries into a colander and rinse well under water. Transfer to a clean kitchen towel and towel-dry thoroughly.

Place the sweet potatoes into the bowl (I washed the one they were soaking in while they were in the colander) and toss in the avocado oil. Add the seasoned cornstarch and toss well to coat evenly.

Once the oven has preheated, use oven mitts to remove the hot pan and place on a heatproof surface. Generously spray the preheated/hot pan with avocado oil. Then add the sweet potato fries in an even layer.Bake for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, remove the pan and use tongs to carefully turn each fry. If they happen to stick just give it a minute and come back to that one. Once given a chance to cool a little, they should unstick themselves.

Rotate the pan and continue to bake for 5-10 minute increments until the fries are crispy – or about 10 to 15 minutes more.

Once golden and crispy, taste and add more salt if desired. Baked fries will always lose some of their crispiness as they sit, so it&#39;s always best to serve immediately.

½ pounds sweet potatoes (2-3 medium, scrubbed clean)

Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the pans from the oven, and flip each fry over. Rotate the pans in the oven from top to bottom and bake for 10-20 minutes more, until fries begin to brown on the edges and become crispy. Serve immediately.
