CrockPot Chicken Alfredo

chicken breasts (skinless, boneless)

Italian seasoning

salt and pepper (to taste)

alfredo sauce

fettucini noodles

parmesan cheese (shredded)

Season chicken breasts with Italian seasoning and salt and pepper.

Place in the crockpot and pour alfredo sauce on top. Cover and cook on low for 2.5 hours or on high for 1.5 hours.

When there is 15-20 minutes left on the crock pot timer, cook pasta according to package directions.

Remove cooked chicken from crockpot and shred with a fork, return to the pot and stir in cooked alfredo noodles.

Stir until fully combined and top with parmesan cheese.

Slow Cooker Chicken Alfredo

chicken breasts

heavy cream

parmesan cheese

garlic (minced)

penne pasta

parsley (chopped (for garnish))

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Pour the alfredo sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, making sure they are well-coated.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for  6-8 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender. (I don’t recommend cooking this recipe on high as the cheese will burn in the sauce).

Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and shred them using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the alfredo sauce. Stir in the cooked penne pasta.

Serve the slow cooker chicken alfredo and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!

pasta (rigatoni, ziti or other large shape)

Combine

Add chicken, garlic, cream cheese, stock, heavy cream, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning to a slow cooker and stir together, making sure the chicken is submerged in the liquid.

Cook

Cover and cook on high for 2 ½ to 3 hours, or on low for 4 to 5 hours.

Shred

Remove chicken from the slow cooker, let sit for 3 to 4 minutes until cooled slightly. Shred with a fork into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Boil

In a large pot of salted water, cook the pasta according to package directions until just al dente. Drain.

Add the shredded chicken, cooked pasta, parmesan and parsley into the slow cooker with the sauce. Stir together, cover, then cook on high for 5 to 6 minutes until everything is heated through.

Add Ingredients

Add chicken breasts, sliced butter, cream cheese, heavy cream, garlic powder, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the bowl of your crockpot.

Place the lid on top and cook for 4-5 hours on low, or 3-4 hours on high.

Shred Chicken

Remove chicken breasts from the crockpot and shred. Whisk the sauce inside of the crockpot until smooth, then return chicken to the pot.

Add Noodles and Cheese

Stir in the tortellini noodles and parmesan cheese. Place lid back on and cook for 15-30 more minutes.

Serve

Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.

Turned out so good! Nice and creamy, everyone enjoyed it. I served with garlic toast and a salad.

This must be the easiest way to make chicken alfredo! It turned out really good!

Hi Ashlyn,  I just made this today but made a slight change  because of what ingredients I had on hand.
 I didn't have cream cheese or shredded parm.  And I didn't have chicken breasts, so I used chicken drumsticks with any fat trimmed off. I was surprised it only took about 3 hours total on high. I added a can of drained mushrooms like you suggested. , and I had to use a package of Knoor's Fettucini Alfredo instead. It's 40 degrees and raining here today ( northeast PA.) so that hit the spot. Thanks!
