Crockpot Goulash Recipe

beef

onion

garlic

water

beef bouillon cubes

tomatoes (1 standard can)

petite diced tomatoes (2 15-ounce cans)

Worcestershire sauce

bay leaves

Italian Seasoning

salt

elbow macaroni

cheddar cheese

Cook

In a nonstick pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. Drain and add to the crockpot.

Add the onion, garlic, water, bouillon cubes, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, and salt. Stir well.

Heat

Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2 hours.

Stir

30 minutes prior to serving, stir in the macaroni. Cover and cook just until the noodles are tender.

Remove

Remove the bay leaves and stir in the cheddar cheese.

Serve

Serve immediately so that the pasta does not turn mushy.

Just like what  my mother used to make in a skillet but Becky uses a crock pot.

Made this today.  It's good, as mentioned, a good base to add things to your taste.  I added a green pepper and some red chili flakes (I don't get the Italian seasoning comments, it was fine).  I like to make the pasta separately, my experience with other recipes is that it's too mushy and starchy otherwise.  I also added the cheese on the side, individual bowls.  Even though I halved it still plenty for me leftover for the week.

Great recipe. I shared with friends they all loved it.

Easy and delish for a weeknight meal. I added chopped spinach just to add in a veggie. Will make again I love just throwing everything in and leaving it

I put this together as was in recipe. Only change needed is pasta timing. I changed the temp from low to warm, added pasta and with in 15 min it was almost over cooked  this seems to be an issue with these pasta crock pot recipes. But the flavor is great and generally after fridg time. The pasta tends to be better the next day. So.  Keep a close eye on your pasta!

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until it is brown.

Add the onions and peppers, cook until tender.

Add the meat mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker.

Add in bell pepper, Italian Seasoning, salt, pepper, tomatoes, and broth.

Stir to combine.

Cover and cook on high for 3.5 hours.

Cook your pasta 1 hour before serving as the box directs you too.

30 minutes before serving stir in the pasta and peas..

Cover and let sit.
