Keto Schnitzels Crispy Pork, Parmesan & Herb

Heavy Cream

water

Parmesan cheese (finely grated)

italian herb & spice blend

Pepper

Peanut Oil (sufficient for your deep fryer)

Preheat your deep fryer to 180C/355F.

Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, pound the pork steaks to a thickness of 1/4in/0.5cm.

In a bowl, add the egg, cream and water and whisk until combined.

On a small tray, sprinkle over the parmesan, Italian Herb &amp; Spice Blend and pepper. Give a light stir to mix the “breading”.

Dip each pork steak into the egg mixture and then coat in the parmesan mixture. Pressing the parmesan into the steak.

Gently place the schnitzels into the deep fryer and fry until golden brown and cooked through. Approximately 5 to 7 minutes. If you have a small deep fryer it is best to fry the schnitzels in batches to prevent them from sticking together.

Remove the schnitzels from the oil and allow to drain before serving.

Slice the pork into thin pieces. Arrange in a large bowl.

Add ground black pepper. Squeeze lime over the pork and pour patis. Mix everything together. Let it stay for 10 minutes for the meat to absorb the flavors of the seasonings.

Heat oil in a pot or deep fryer.

Beat eggs in a bowl. Prepare almond flour by transferring to a bowl. Place the two bowls side-by-side.

Dip sliced pork in almond flour, then on beaten eggs. Dip it again in almond flour making sure that all sides are coated. Place on a frying basket (for deep-frying), or a clean plate (for traditional frying).

Fry pork until golden brown and crispy. Note: this should take around 4 to 6 minutes in medium heat.

Remove from the fryer and arrange in a serving plate. Serve with a spicy vinegar dipping sauce.

Tonkatsu (deep fried pork)

pork loin chops (about 1" thick, no bones)

salt

panko or bread crumbs

Tonkatsu Sauce

Make small cuts all over the pork chops with the tip of a knife.  Pound the meat with a meat tenderizer.  Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the meat.

Coat the meat with flour, dip in egg, and then cover with bread crumbs.

Heat deep frying oil to 350 F, and deep fry the crumb-covered meat. You can check the temperature by dropping a bread crumb in the oil. If it comes up to the oil surface right after it&#39;s dropped, it&#39;s ready.

Fry until the color turns golden brown and the meat floats in the oil, about 5-8 minutes, turning once or twice.

Set the meat on a cooling rack for a minute.  Cut into 5-6 pieces.  Drizzle Tonkatsu Sauce over if you like.
