I made this pasta salad for my husbands birthday and he loved it! After trying the dressing ratio in the recipe, I did 4 TBLS red wine vinegar and 1/3 cup olive oil just to make it a little less dry (the next time I made it). It was a huge hit. We’ve taken this on several picnics. This will be a recipe I make for the rest of my life. Highly recommend.

I'm not a fan of pasta salads at all. However, our family hosted a large gathering for Christmas and I decided to try this one as a "side" dish. I have to admit, it was pure deliciousness! Everyone loved it! I've made it 4 or 5 times since then and it's my definition of pasta salad. So easy to make. I followed the recipe, just added more chicken. Give it a try, you'll love it.

So yummy, makes a huge portion, but it was delicious!

We have tried several pasta salad recipes and they are always lacking. I resisted my urge to change the recipe the first time and I am glad I did. The only change: I doubled it, because it’s so nice to have leftovers for our family of four and this was a hit! Thanks for such a nice, refreshing pasta salad, the dill and Dijon (don’t substitute that) were an amazing combination.

This was a huge winner in my house. Ages 75 to age 9. Delicious!

Great pasta salad! I added a yellow bell pepper, skipped the bacon and dill, and used white wine vinegar instead of red but it was delicious! My husband raved about it!

Really great recipe! I had to make substitutions due to a lack of interest in running to the store, but it was still amazing. Left out the dill since I was out, and added diced, fresh mozzarella instead of feta (due to husband's preferences) but will try again with the feta for sure! Also, added some grilled zucchini, roasted red bell pepper and a little extra bacon and garlic. Seriously a good recipe for a hot day when any hot food sounds too heavy. Grilled the chicken and used my instant pot for the pasta so kitchen stayed cool, and my husband and daughter ate two bowls each! Win!

the first time i made this, i had to substitute the red wine vinegar with balsamic, and after making it again using red wine vinegar this time, i would suggest trying balsamic! i left the rest of the dressing the same of course. overall though this is a great recipe!! really good for picnics!

Great recipe!! A big winner in my house this evening.

I made this for my lunch today - omg, it’s absolutely delicious! It’s lockdown in the UK but being in the sunshine in my garden and eating this - I can seriously imagine being on holiday if I close my eyes! I’ll 110% make again. Thank you for sharing. X

I make a lot of salads but this maybe my new favorite! The dressing and combination of beans with cilantro was amazing!

This is my second time to make this wonderful and very healthy side dish.
It's simple, full of many different flavors and if organic ingredients are used, very nutritious. Many Thanks!!!

Mediterranean kidney bean salad with fresh cilantro and a zesty Dijon vinaigrette

Mediterranean Kidney Bean Salad

Here's a must-make homemade vinaigrette: Dijon mustard dressing! It's tangy and perfectly balanced—and it takes just 5 minutes to make.

Dijon Mustard Dressing (5 Minutes!)

white wine vinegar

maple syrup

salt

In a medium bowl, whisk together the white wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and kosher salt.

Whisk in the olive oil 1 tablespoon at a time until a creamy emulsion forms. Store refrigerated and bring to room temperature before serving (keeps at least 2 weeks).

This healthy Dijon Vinaigrette recipe is tangy, flavorful and has no added sugar.

Healthy Dijon Vinaigrette

onions

balsamic vinegar

Combine all ingredients into a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well.

This dressing can be stored for up to a week in the refrigerator.

This easy Dijon vinaigrette is my go-to salad dressing and works with virtually any salad you might want to make. It's made with basic kitchen staples that we always have on hand, like Dijon mustard and lemon juice.

Easy Dijon Vinaigrette

white wine vinegar (or lemon juice)

Combine ingredients in a bowl.

Whisk until smooth and fully emulsified.

Adjust seasoning with salt & pepper, to taste.

This is pretty good but for the proportions 2 tablespoons of Dijon is overwhelming. I would say start with 1 tablespoon taste it and see if you wanna add but if you put 2 tablespoons in you can’t take it out. :)

This is my go-to salad dressing for every salad— veg salad, pasta salad, lettuce salad. I double the Dijon mustard because I love Dijon mustard (and any other mustard!) Thanks for posting, I love it 😊 and I have made it at least a million times.

A bit too much mustard. Next time I will start with one tablespoon .

My go-to every day dressing. I make with immersion blender for a creamy dressing. Love this.

I love this recipe! I saw someone mentioned wanting to sweeten it up, and I usually use a honey Dijon mustard which does the trick!

Delish! Made as directed the first time — easy and tasty. This time I only needed enough for a large single serving salad topped with a crab cake so cut recipe down to: 2 tbsp oil; 1 tbsp vinegar; 1 1/2 tsp mustard; salt/ pepper to taste. Omitted garlic clove.

Delicious - almost made exactly as written - I even measured for the salt and pepper. Needed a tiny bit of sweet so I added 1/4 tsp white sugar.

OMG…great recipe! I was in a pinch, have little in the house and found this recipe. It was a God-send! I will definitely be making this on a regular basis from now on!

Made for the 4th of July picnic. Received Many compliments!

I just made this with a Modena white vinegar and used the immersion blender. This is sooooo good! The best!

Lemon Dijon Vinaigrette

This French Lentil Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette is a satisfying dish you can enjoy year-round. Tender French green lentils cook until creamy with just a slight bite, then get tossed in a tangy Dijon and balsamic vinaigrette. Bacon, capers, and fresh herbs add brightness and depth. My favorite way to serve it? Topped with perfectly pan-seared scallops. Gluten-free.

Warm French Lentil Salad with Crispy Bacon

green lentils

chicken stock, (low sodium)

scallions, (thinly sliced)

Tbsp capers, (drained)

Tbsp finely chopped fresh herbs, (such

extra virgin olive oil ()

flaky sea salt ()

Tbsp aged balsamic vinegar

tsp black pepper

Cook the lentils. Place lentils and chicken stock (or vegetable stock) in the bowl of a rice cooker. Close lid, then select quick cook setting and press start. This will take approximately 40 minutes. If there is excess stock at the end of the cook time, simply drain the lentils (they should be creamy and tender, not mushy). Meanwhile, make the marinade.

Make the Dijon vinaigrette. Combine extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, ½ tsp Kosher salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper in a small bowl, then whisk to combine. Set aside.

Cook bacon. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add thinly sliced bacon lardons, then cook until crisp, stirring often, about 4-5 minutes. Drain bacon on a paper towel lined plate.

Dress the lentils. When lentils finish cooking, transfer to a large bowl. Immediately toss with marinade until even coated.

Add remaining ingredients, then serve. Add cooked bacon, scallions, capers, and any herbs you're using, then toss to combine. Drizzle the warm salad with 1-2 tablespoons of a high quality extra virgin olive oil, then sprinkle with a generous pinch or two of flaky sea salt. Serve warm or at room temperature.

I do this one ALOT!! For a quick weeknight meal I buy Trader Joe's Steamed lentils. I warm them and then toss with all the ingredients. So easy , tasty and convenient!! And of course it's perfect with the seared scallops!!

This recipe is so easy and delicious. It’s also one of the faster meals I can whip up and then just add some seared protein on top. My toddler asks for thirds and fourths whenever this is served.

For what it’s worth, I make my lentils via an instant pot (6 minutes pressure with a 1 cup lentil to 1.5 cup liquid ratio, then let it sit for 10 minutes before manually releasing the remaining pressure) and use fresh dill as my herb of choice. Looking forward to trying some other herbs to seeing what I like best.

This is the best and simplest salad dressing you can make with ingredients you already have in your pantry. Enjoy a flavorful vinaigrette all the time!

pepper

Add mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper to a small bowl. Use a fork to whisk together until incorporated.

While whisking, slowly add olive oil and continue mixing until the oil is all added and the vinaigrette has thickened.

Use immediately or store in a sealed container in your refrigerator for up to two weeks. If using after refrigerated, shake well before opening and using to ensure it's still emulsified.
