Dogs go crazy over pumpkin (and peanut butter) and they will love these biscuits.

Pumpkin Dog Biscuits

eggs

salt

tbsp non-fat dry milk

pumpkin puree

whole wheat flour

water to make a workable dough

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all ingredients except the water. Dough will be crumbly. Add just enough water so the dough becomes elastic and pliable.

Turn out on a floured surface and knead a few times. Roll dough out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Using a cookie cutter, the top of a smaller glass or even a pastry cutter, cut into desired shapes.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the biscuits sit in the oven until oven cools.

Remove biscuits to a rack to dry overnight. Makes about 20 biscuits (I used a medium bone cutter, approx 3-inches long)

Banana (preferably overripe)

Natural Peanut Butter (no xylitol)

Old-Fashioned Oats

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mash an overripe banana in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Add the Natural Peanut Butter and Old-Fashioned Oats. Mix.

Plop the mix on a sheet of parchment paper. Spread it out to your desired thickness. I recommend about 1/4”.

Cut out in shapes of your choice.

Place on a prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. 

Let cool completely before giving to your dog.

Results may vary.The flax and turmeric can be left out if you don&#039;t have any on hand, but they are a nice healthy addition. If you leave out the flax, add another 1/4 cup of flour. You can also use beef or chicken stock instead of the hot water &amp; bouillon powder, however the treats may not keep as long afterwards. Or you can eliminate the bouillon powder, but the biscuits won&#039;t be as tasty! The brown sugar is optional too. It was helpful for Sierra because she would get a weird head-shaky thing which was possibly tied to low blood sugar. About 5 cups of treats, depending on how you cut them.

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits w/ Flax & Turmeric - Best Dog Biscuit EVER!

Tablespoons Brown Sugar (, optional)

Tablespoon Turmeric

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Dissolve the bouillon in the hot water. Set aside.

Combine the flour, brown sugar, ground flax, and turmeric in a mixer bowl. Using a dough hook, mix in hot water mixture, peanut butter and egg. Continue mixing until the dough ball is smooth, occasionally scraping down the sides of the bowl to help everything mix together.

Roll out the dough to a little less than 1/2&quot; thick. Cut into desired dog biscuit shapes (we use hearts for &quot;good dogs&quot; and small circles or small bone shapes for training incentives). Place the cut out dog biscuits on the prepared sheet pans.

Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the biscuits feel dried and fairly hard (they will harden a bit more after cooling). Baking time will vary depending on how thick the biscuits were rolled out. As long as the biscuits are cooked fully dry, they will keep for several weeks or more.

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silpat mats.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir until combined. The mixture will be somewhat dry, but it will come together when you roll it out.

Move the dough to a floured mat and use your hands to mix the dough some more so it is well combined. Roll out the dough. Cut into shapes (dog bone, round or whatever shape you want), and transfer the cut-out biscuits to the baking sheets.

Bake for 30 minutes. You can bake both sheets at the same time. Just put them on two different racks. The baked biscuits will be crisp, but not rock hard. Some might puff up a bit and some will stay flat.

Biscuits will be fine in a covered container for up to one week. If you want to freeze them, you may throw them in a freezer zip baggie and take them out to defrost as you wish.

Sweet Potato Dog Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat.

 In a bowl of a stand mixer, add all the ingredients and mix until all of the ingredients are well-combined and come together into a ball. If you do not have a stand mixer, just use a sturdy wooden spoon. The batter is too thick to use a traditional hand mixer.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Roll the dough to ¼-inch thickness.

Use a cutter to cut the dough into shapes (use a dog bone cutter or round or whatever you prefer!) Transfer the cutouts to the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes. Turn the biscuits over, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
