Chocolate Truffles Recipe

bittersweet chocolate ((good quality))

semisweet chocolate ((good quality))

heavy cream

vanilla extract

tbsp Orange Liqueur (Grand Marnier) (OPTIONAL *See Note)

sprinkles, chocolate, powdered sugar, cocoa or nuts to roll the truffles

Chop the chocolate roughly and place in a heat safe bowl.

Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium high heat just until it begins to come to a boil.

Remove cream from heat.

Pour the cream through a fine-meshed sieve into the bowl with chocolate.

Whisk the cream and chocolate together until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Add the liqueur (if using) and vanilla. Continue Stirring.

Place in the fridge for 1 hour to stiffen.

With 2 teaspoons, spoon round balls of the chocolate mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Roll each ball of chocolate in your hands to roughly make a round ball.

Roll in powdered sugar, or whatever toppings you choose (sprinkles, chocolate, nuts, etc)

These will keep in the fridge for two weeks, but are best served at room temperature.

I may be biased, but I think these are the best easy homemade truffles! They’re really decadent with a deep, rich, dark chocolate flavor (similar to 75% dark chocolate) and soft melt-in-your-mouth texture. They’re perfect for Valentine’s Day — or any ol’ day you’re craving chocolate! Store any leftover truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll keep for at least one week, maybe more — if they last that long!

Healthy Chocolate Truffles

(80 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder

(60 milliliters) unsweetened vanilla almond milk

(60 milliliters) pure maple syrup

Add the cocoa powder to a small bowl. Make a well in the center. Pour in the milk and maple syrup. Stir with a fork until all of the cocoa powder is fully incorporated. (It takes some effort and patience. See Notes!) Chill the mixture for 30 minutes.

Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.

Roll the chilled chocolate mixture into 16 balls. (If the mixture sticks to your hands, wipe them with a very lightly moistened paper towel in between rolling each one.) After rolling each one, place onto the prepared baking sheet.

Coat the truffles, if desired (see Notes!), before transferring to an airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

These rich, creamy chocolate rum truffles are sinfully delicious and irresistible. These no-bake homemade truffles only need 4 ingredients and 30 minutes of prep time. 

Easy Chocolate Rum Truffles

unsalted butter, cold

9.3 oz semi-sweet chocolate bars, melted and cooled

14.1 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

With a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk or paddle attachment beat butter on medium speed until soft for about 2-3 minutes. Add the melted chocolate and mix until creamy for about 1 minute. Add the rum and mix on low speed until well combined and smooth.

Cool for about 5-10 minutes in the freezer or until firm enough to scoop with an ice cream scoop. You don&#039;t want them to get too hard either. The time they need to firm up will depend on how warm the chocolate was when you add it and which chocolate you used.

Roll the truffles quickly into balls. Don’t roll for too long or the truffles will begin to melt in your hands. Cool for about 1 hour in the fridge, or 10-15 minutes in the freezer if you want to speed up the process.

Dip the truffles in melted chocolate and let dry in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes. Dust with or roll in cocoa before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
