This easy meatball subs recipe is the BEST! Baked homemade meatballs in marinara sauce, melted cheese on toasty bread. Makes the perfect freezer meal for busy weeknights or perfect for an easy camping meal!

Easy Meatball Subs

meatballs

hoagie buns

tbsp butter, softened

marinara sauce

provolone cheese

Parmesan cheese (optional)

Take the frozen meatballs out of the freezer and place on a baking sheet.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).  Bake meatballs in preheated oven for 20-23 minutes or no longer pink inside. Remove from oven.

Turn oven to broil and allow to preheat.

Slice open hoagie buns and open them up. Spread a thin amount of softened butter on the insides of each open bun.

Place open buns on a baking sheet, add into oven and broil until golden and toasted, about 1-2 minutes

Add 3-4 cooked meatballs to each sub sandwich

Spoon marinara sauce on top of each meatball (at least 1 tbsp per meatball)

Cut slices of provolone cheese in halves or strips to fit sandwiches. Place them on top of marinara sauce.

Place again into oven and broil a few minutes longer until cheese is melted. Watch it closely so you don&#039;t burn your sandwich. Remove from oven and serve warm.

15 EASY FREEZER MEALS For Instant Pot or Slow Cooker

Chicken Sausage Pasta with Creamy Garlic Sauce and Veggies is a super easy meal prepared in under 30 minutes or made ahead and stored in the freezer!

Garlic Chicken Sausage Pasta Skillet Freezer Meal

oz Alfresco Roasted Garlic

vegetables

tortellini

half-n-half

olive oil

parsley

tsp salt

tsp garlic salt

Slice all 4 of the chicken sausages into ¼ inch sized slices. Optional: Saute sausage slices until golden brown edges appear in a skillet, then cool. 

In a large bowl combine sliced sausage, frozen tortellini, and frozen vegetables. Toss together to combine.

In a medium bowl combine half n half, olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt. Whisk to combine. 

Add frozen vegetables, tortellini and sausage to a large skillet with a lid. Add in ½ cup of water. Heat on high heat until water is boiling, then reduce heat to medium, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove lid, add in sauce packet, increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring continuously until sauce is no longer watery, and coats the veggies and pasta like a creamy sauce. Serve immediately.

Make It Now

Transfer frozen sausage, tortellini and vegetables to a labeled gallon sized freezer safe bag. Transfer sauce mixture into a quart sized freezer safe bag. Seal both bags together, removing as much air as possible and freeze. 

Make It a Freezer Meal

Add frozen vegetables, tortellini and sausage to a large skillet with a lid. Add in ½ cup of water. Heat on high heat until water is boiling, then reduce heat to medium, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove lid, add in sauce packet, increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring continuously until sauce is no longer watery, and coats the veggies and pasta like a creamy sauce. Serve immediately. 

Cook From Frozen

Very yummy and quick! I subbed dairy free half and half for regular because I’m lactose intolerant. Still had a creamy sauce.

Make ahead and freeze these homemade French toast sticks for a delicious, no-fuss breakfast. Paired with maple syrup, this finger food is the true breakfast of champions.

Make Ahead French Toast Sticks

bread

eggs

half n half

vanilla

sugar (divided)

cinnamon (divided)

all-purpose flour

butter (melted)

panko bread crumbs

sugar (optional)

maple syrup

Cut each slice of bread into 3 strips.

In a pie plate or medium bowl whisk together eggs, half n half and vanilla. Then add ¼ cup of the sugar, ½ tsp of the cinnamon, and flour. Whisk until creamy and smooth with very few lumps if any. Then while whisking, add melted butter in a skinny stream and whisk to combine while pouring. Then whisk 5 seconds longer until well combined.

In another pie plate mix using a fork to combine panko bread crumbs, remaining ½ cup of the sugar and remaining 1 tsp of cinnamon.

Dip each bread strip first into the egg batter, getting both sides, then lay into the crumb mixture, turning to coat both sides. You may need to sprinkle the mixture as well to make sure each piece is well-coated.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place french toast sticks after dipping and battering on a lightly greased parchment lined baking sheet one inch apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.

Let cool 2 minutes, then serve with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and a little maple syrup for dipping.

Make it Now

Place a rack set inside of a baking sheet to set the sticks on for freezing.

Place each dipped and coated stick on the rack in the baking sheet, not touching. Flash freeze by placing rack/baking sheet into the freezer for 30-45 minutes or until they are frozen.

Transfer the frozen sticks to labeled gallon sized freezer safe bags, careful not to squish them by piling too many inside at once. Seal bags, removing as much air as possible and freeze.

Make it a Freezer Meal

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place frozen french toast sticks on a lightly greased parchment lined baking sheet one inch apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.

Cook from Frozen

Excellent recipe but instead of Panko I crushed the same amount of Cinnamon Crunch Cereal for the crunch.

Just made some for morning had to make a taste batch .... might have some for dessert tonight lol had enough batter and Panko mix to do the whole loaf might make more tomorrow because these WILL NOT last 2 months lmao nom nom nom ?

These sound AMAZING!  One question... have you even popped them into the toaster frozen?  If I wanted to do that do you think par baking them would be a good idea before freezing?  We are up at 5:30 and the kid is off to the buss at 6 so preheating and baking would dip into my few precious hours of sleep, lol.  I make waffles ahead of time and pop into the toaster, wondering if I could do with this...
