Chicken Curry

olive oil

yellow onion, chopped

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces

Was very good but way too mild for my taste after the first serving add curry powder I had about 2 Tablespoons full and it was awesome.will make this again

I liked vegetables so I saute small slices of carrots and bell peppers then added the onions. To add some flavor to the stew, I added 1 cup of coconut milk with  1/2 cup of chicken broth instead of the 1 1/2 cups of broth. With the rest of the spices, I added 1 tbs of powder mustard, 1/2 tsp of ground cloves,1 tbs of curry paste and 2 tbs of almond butter at the end while stew simmered. Added more salt for taste and red crushed peppers with the cilantro.

It was delicious!

This recipe is perfect to make this dish your own. I used the recipe then added and made it my own. Some of the ingredients, I doubled or tripled. Also, I make it at least 2  to 3 days before I serve.

Love this quick and easy recipe, I added little coconut Milk and added red pepper, my kids love chicken Curry but it should be hot!!,

Really liked it.  It's not a difficult recipe but it's really flavorful. I served it on basmati rice and broccoli and it was a hit.  I know right?!?!? No curry powder... but it works.

Delicious chicken curry and easy to make. I have used this recipe several times and it never fails. Hey the author made it clear it wasn’t spicy, so why are people complaining? You can always hot it up more, as some have said. I use hot Hungarian paprika myself. Anyway, kudos!

Too thin and very little flavor. Wouldn't recommend

Easy recipe to follow but the flavor was lacking so I doubled each spice the next time around, added one tablespoon curry, and two tablespoons sugar and it became my new favorite dish to cook! Oh and I tried fried shrimp in this recipe too which was a great way to liven up my leftovers.

Love it. I don't know what curry standards are but this is the first time I had it and it was amazing

I used ginger garlic paste 2 1/2 Tbls  doubled the seasoning also added curry powder and I used yogurt instead of cream...added salt, pepper and dash of cayenne....only used 1 C of chciken broth.

I enjoyed this recipe quite a bit. So easy and simple. Super tasty. I will definitely be cooking this again.

I did however add like triple the amount of spices. :)

We loved it. We are west indian and eating our food all the time is getting tiring. Making this was a great add to our menu especially because the kids loved it!

This is a keeper. 2 changes I made: Instead of heavy cream I used 1 cup plain Greek yogurt and 1 can of coconut milk. Since my garam masala spice is spicy, I reduced cayenne from 1 tsp to a half tsp.  Came out perfectly for our spicy palate.

Good and spicy! Especially with very hot types of cayenne. Pretty easy and straight forward instructions.  I will make this one again, but I’ll try it with lighter cream.

Sucked.  Bland and not flavorful in the least.  Adding salt doesn’t help — it just makes it salty.

This simple recipe is a low carb, pressure cooker version of the popular Indian curry murgh makhani. Tender chicken bites are cooked in a smooth sauce infused with coconut milk, tomato, and aromatic spices — no cream is used. Compared to other cooking methods that require marinating and browning, this recipe is faster and easier with equally delicious results.

Instant Pot Butter Chicken

chicken thighs ((Note 1))

yellow onion, finely chopped

(15-ounce) can tomato sauce ((Note 2))

coconut milk

plain greek yogurt ((Note 4))

cilantro

salted butter ((Note 5))

garam masala ((Note 6))

table salt

ginger

cayenne

Add Ingredients (Note 8): Stir together onions, garlic, tomato sauce, coconut milk, yogurt, and all seasonings in pressure cooker pot (Note 9). Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Trimming off and discarding excess fat, cut meat into 1-inch chunks. Add meat to pot, stirring until coated with sauce.

Pressure Cook: Cover and seal lid (Note 10). Cook at high pressure for 10 minutes, followed by quick pressure release (Note 11).

Thicken Sauce: Uncover and turn on saute mode for medium heat. Boil until liquid thickens into stew-like consistency, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking along bottom of pot. Turn off saute mode.

Finish &amp; Serve (Note 12): Stir in butter and 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro until butter is melted. Serve into bowls, and garnish with remaining 1 tablespoon cilantro.

Such an amazing recipe! I used to get butter chicken all the time at a restaurant that has since closed and this really fills the void. I’ve made it with chicken breast and thighs, both great. Only thing I change is sour cream instead of yogurt because it’s what I keep on hand. Serve over rice with naan, kids and husband love it too.

Made this last night and my husband loved it! It was so delicious!

This was delicious! I thought this was even better than the Chicken Tikka Masala. We did it with a side of jasmine rice. Thank you for the delicious recipe.

One of our favorite recipes to make now! This is the ONLY Indian dish we've made with success and it's heavenly, I recommend to everyone. Have made with both boneless skinless chicken breasts and thighs. Both are delicious but thighs are better.

So delicious! Have made it several times now. Very easy to make. Going to try with chicken breasts tonight instead of thighs.

I made this for my family of 4 who had never really tried anything of this flavor combination. 3 out of the 4 loved it (the 4th is a picky eater). I  made the recipe as is and it was Ah-maz-ing!
I served mine over riced cauliflower to keep it Keto, the rest of the fam had it over rice
