Fill a large pot with water for the pasta and season with salt. Place a lid on the pot and bring it up to a boil over high heat.

While waiting for the water to boil, cut the bacon into small pieces. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-low heat until brown and crispy. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet, then turn the heat down to low. Mince two cloves of garlic, add them to the warm skillet, and sauté for about one minute or until fragrant and softened, then turn off the heat.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan, and a generous dose of freshly cracked pepper.

The water should be boiling at this point, so add the pasta, stir well, and continue to boil the pasta until al dente. Reserve one cup of the starchy pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta in a colander.

Add 1/4 cup of the reserved pasta water to the skillet that was used to cook the bacon. Stir the warm water in the skillet and dissolve the browned bits from the surface of the skillet. Add the steaming hot drained pasta to the skillet and toss in the bacon liquid in the skillet.

Pour the egg and Parmesan mixture over the hot pasta and immediately begin to stir or toss the pasta. Continue to stir the hot pasta in the egg mixture until a creamy sauce forms. Add the remaining Parmesan, a little more freshly cracked pepper, and the reserved bacon bits, and toss again. If the pasta becomes too thick or dry, add a splash more of the reserved pasta water.

Finally, taste the pasta and adjust the salt, Parmesan, or pepper if needed. Top with a pinch or two of roughly chopped parsley leaves.

Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Add the olive oil, onion, garlic, and anchovy filets to a large skillet. Sauté the ingredients over medium heat until the onions are soft and the anchovies have dissolved.

Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet, along with the basil, crushed red pepper, sliced olives, and capers. Stir to combine, then allow the sauce to come up to a simmer. Once simmering, turn the heat down to low and let the sauce simmer, stirring occasionally, while you cook the pasta.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Once rapidly boiling, add the spaghetti and continue to boil until the pasta is tender (about 7 minutes). Reserve about 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water before draining the past in a colander.

Add the cooked and drained pasta to the puttanesca sauce in the skillet (or if your skillet is not big enough, add them both to the large pot used to cook the pasta, heat turned off). Stir to combine the pasta with the sauce. If the pasta becomes dry, add a splash or two of the reserved pasta water. Serve hot.

Add olive oil to an oven-safe skillet over medium high heat until just smoking. Add sausage and onions and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add broth, tomatoes, cream, pasta, salt and pepper and stir. Bring to a boil, cover skillet, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.

This is my second recipe review EVER and I am 56yrs. old. This was a VERY tasty quick, one pot meal that I made today. I followed this recipe exactly as written and it turned out mighty tasty for sure. My only problem with the whole thing was that it wasn't spicy enough for me. However, this  is SO versatile and excellent as a base recipe . After my first bowl I sprinkled some Tony Chachere's Original Creole seasoning on my second bowl and it was even better. Of course I will be making this again but I will add peas, broccoli or green peppers to it for a veggie flair as well as my Tony C . for an added kick. My friend suggested adding shrimp to the combo for a little Cajun twist which sounds great. Overall I gave this 4 stars because it truly is good as is and it is a great starting point for anything you might want to add in.

Cook the pasta in boiling water in a large non-stick saucepan according to pack instructions. Meanwhile, slice the mushrooms and snip the bacon into bite-size pieces with scissors or a sharp knife.

Reserve a few drops of the cooking water in a cup or bowl, then drain the pasta and set aside. Fry the bacon and mushrooms in the same pan until golden, about 5 mins. Keep the heat high so the mushrooms fry in the bacon fat, rather than sweat.

Tip the pasta and reserved water back into the pan and stir over the heat for 1 min. Take the pan off the heat, spoon in the pesto and crème fraîche and most of the basil and stir to combine. Sprinkle with the remaining basil to serve.

Kale Pesto Pasta with Burst Cherry Tomatoes

In the bowl of a food processor, combine the chopped kale, pecans, lemon juice, garlic cloves and salt. Pour in the olive oil and blend on high for 15 seconds, until smooth. You may need to scrape down the sides a few times in between blending.

Next, bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Add the spaghetti and cook as directed.

Meanwhile, cook the tomatoes. In a separate medium-size pan, warm 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the tomatoes and a pinch of salt, then cover and cook for 10 minutes, until the tomatoes begin to burst open. Remove from heat and set aside. (Be careful not to lift the lid when the tomatoes are hot, as the juices and the oil will splatter! You can shake the pan by the handle to toss the tomatoes as needed.)

When the pasta is tender, remove from heat and drain. Transfer the pasta back to the pot, then spoon the kale pesto on top. Toss until the pesto is evenly distributed. Add the tomatoes to the pot and toss together. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil and/or grated parmesan cheese.

Prepare the broccoli: Wash and separate the bouquets. Peel and remove the fibrous part of the stems and cut them into small pieces. Add them to boiling water for 3–4 min, drain, and keep warm.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes while stirring. Gradually add milk while whisking. Bring to a boil, then add the grated cheese while stirring until smooth.

Combine All

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta 1 minute less than the packet instructions. Drain and reserve roughly ½ cup of pasta water.

Slice Steak

Sear Steak

Place a large, high-rimmed pan over high heat. Add olive or avocado oil and sear the steak in batches for 2 minutes on each side or until golden. Remove and set aside.

Sauce

In the same pan, back over medium-high heat, add unsalted butter and allow it to melt. Add the grated garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Deglaze with stock and cook for 1 minute. Add unsweetened evaporated milk or cream, smoked paprika, chilli powder or flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine, bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 5-6 minutes or until reduced.

Add Pasta

Add the baby spinach and cooked pasta and cook for 1 minute, or until the baby spinach has wilted and the pasta is coated in the sauce. Add the cooked steak and resting juices. Mix to combine and remove from heat.

Portion

Serve in 6-7 meal prep containers. Garnish with flat-leaf parsley and parmigiana reggiano.

Set a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the olive oil. When hot, cook the onion in the oil for 2 to 3 minutes, until it starts to soften. Add in the zucchini, eggplant, corn, tomatoes, garlic, salt and red pepper flakes. Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, until the veggies are tender. Remove from the heat, taste and season with additional salt and red pepper flakes if needed.

Spread 1/2 cup of the sauce in the bottom of your slow cooker. Top with a layer of three lasagna noodles, breaking them as needed to fit. Using a slotted spoon, top with 1/3 of the vegetable mixture, then 1/2 cup of the sauce and 1/3 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process two more times -- noodles, vegetables, sauce, cheese. End with a final layer of noodles and the remaining 1/2 cup of the sauce. Sprinkle the top with the remaining 1/3 cup mozzarella, the parmesan and panko.

Cover and cook on low for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, until the noodles are cooked through. Turn off the slow cooker and let sit uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes before serving. This will let the lasagna set so you can cut it easily and it will hold its shape. Sprinkle the top with fresh basil before serving.
