I made this following the recipe exactly. My family thought it completely lacked flavor. Everyone wanted to add different seasonings at the table, some felt it needed more lemon, others wanted more garlic and others wanted more chilies. Fail all around! 😕

This recipe is really off.  In reviewing other shrimp scampi recipes, the lemon and wine is far less that what is recommended here.  This recipe produced a lot of liquid and I had to use corn starch to thicken.  The overall taste was very lemony.

Easy Creamy Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Carnation Evaporated Milk

In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the oil over medium heat for about 1 minute. Then add the garlic and let cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Do not let brown! Add the shrimp and lemon zest; season with salt (and red pepper flakes, if desired).

Toss until the shrimp turns pink and opaque in the center, about 2-3 minutes. Add the white wine; toss 1 minute. Add the Carnation Evaporated Milk and stir just until sauce is homogeneous. Let cook for about 1-2 minutes.

Remove pan from the heat, stir in lemon juice. If desired, sprinkle 2 tablespoons chopped parsley and/or basil leaves. Serve over pasta, zoodles (keto) or with a hard-crusted bread to soak in the sauce. Enjoy!

Easy Shrimp Scampi

linguine pasta

unsalted butter (divided)

olive oil (divided)

oregano

lemon juice

dry white wine*

Begin cooking pasta according to package directions.

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium high heat in a skillet. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, stirring frequently, about 1 minute.

Add shrimp and oregano.  Cook, stirring frequently, until shrimp have just turned pink on both sides (about 3 to 4 minutes). Remove shrimp from skillet with a slotted spoon and place on a plate.  Set aside.

Return skillet with juices to medium high heat. Add white wine and lemon juice and bring to a boil, while stirring. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and stir until butter is melted and mixture is combined.

Transfer shrimp back to skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.  Season with desired amounts of salt and pepper, if desired.

Spoon shrimp mixture on top of a bed of cooked linguine and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Easy Classic Shrimp Scampi

butter (divided)

garlic (minced (a heaping tablespoon))

Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Heat the olive oil (2 tablespoons) and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet, preferably nonstick, over medium heat.

Add the 4 cloves of minced garlic (or a heaping tablespoon) and crushed red pepper (1/4 teaspoon) and sauté until fragrant, 30 seconds to a minute, being careful not to brown it.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and allow to cook for 3 minutes. Flip and allow to cook for 1 more minute, or until cooked through and no longer translucent.

Using tongs or a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp to a plate.

Turn the heat up to medium high and add the the lemon juice (2 tablespoons) and white wine/broth (1/2 cup), along with the 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid has reduced by half.

Turn the heat down to low and add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Stir until melted and sauce is thickened.

Add the cooked shrimp and any juices from the bottom of the plate back into the skillet, along with the fresh parsley, and stir to coat.

Shrimp scampi is best served immediately, with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to mop up the sauce, or zucchini noodles for a low carb option.

Shrimp Scampi with White Wine and Parmesan

unsalted butter

garlic (chopped finely)

tsp red pepper flakes

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and butter. Once butter melts, add the chopped garlic and red pepper flakes and saute for 2 minutes until garlic softens but doesn&#x27;t brown.

Pour in the white wine and reduce for a few minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

Add in lemon zest and lemon juice and freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir everything together.

Add in the shrimp and cook on the first side for 3-4 minutes until pink, then flip over and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

One shrimp are done, taste sauce for seasoning and adjust as needed. Then garnish with fresh herbs and serve with pasta (or your other favorite side).

Cook bacon in a large, 12-inch skillet over medium to medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until almost done, about 7-10 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Evenly coat shrimp with blackening seasonings and add to bacon. Cook one minute. Stir in tomatoes, broth, garlic, and pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutse, or just until shrimp turn opaque.

Stir in scampi sauce and lemon juice. Gently stir in drained pasta. Top with parsley and serve.
