Super Fluffy Omelet Recipe by Tasty

Separate the egg whites and the egg yolks in two separate bowls. You’ll only need 3 yolks, so discard the other 2 or reserve for another use.

Whisk the egg yolks until they become homogenous and pale in color. Set aside.

Transfer the egg whites to a large bowl and whisk until they triple in size and become white with medium peaks.

Carefully fold the egg yolks into the egg whites until fully incorporated.

Pour the egg mixture into a medium nonstick frying pan with a lid. Cook over medium-low heat until bottom of omelet has set, about 5 minutes.

Lift up each side of the omelette and drop a tablespoon of butter underneath.

Cover the pan and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the top of the omelet has set.

Remove the lid and season the omelet with salt and pepper. Remove the pan from the heat.

Fold the omelette onto a plate and sprinkle with chives.

Add the hot water, sugar, and instant coffee to a bowl.

Either hand whisk or use an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and light.

Savory beef tomato fried rice topped with creamy egg and a savory, sweet sauce.

Omurice (Japanese rice omelette)

Worcestershire sauce

tbsp Ketchup

tbsp Oyster sauce

Beef broth

Finely chop one carrot, 1/4 of a bell pepper and half an onion.

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add 2 tbsp of flour and stir constantly for about 5 minutes until the roux turns darker in color. Add in 1 tbsp or Worcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp of ketchup, 2 tbsp of oyster sauce, and 1 tbsp of honey. Stir to combine and then add in 1 and 1/2 cups of beef broth. Let sauce thicken for about 2-3 minutes then set aside on low heat while we prep the rice.

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add in a quarter pound of ground beef. Break the beef into smaller pieces with a wooden spoon, season with salt and pepper and cook until browned. When the meat is done, add in your chopped veggies and cook for about 5 minutes. 

Add in 2 cups of cooked rice. Toss the rice to combine with the meat and veggies and then add in 2 tablespoons of ketchup and a ladle-full of your omurice sauce. Plate your rice by putting half of it into a small bowl, pack it down a little, then flip it onto a plate. Then shape the rice into a football shape with your hands.

Crack 4 eggs into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of milk and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Whisk the eggs until they are very runny and have no clumps.

Heat a small nonstick pan over medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. We want the pan to get really hot. Once the pan is hot, add in your eggs and immediately start whisking with your chopsticks while you move the pan up and down. Bring any pieces stuck on the side towards the middle. 

When the eggs are still runny, but semi set on the bottom, turn heat down to low and tilt pan forwards at an angle and start pushing the edge of the egg closest to you towards the bottom of the pan. Angle in the edges a bit to make it into a foot ball shape. Rest the bottom edge of your pan over the flame to help unstick the outer edge and start folding that inwards as well. 

Once the outer edge is somewhat closed,  grab a spatula and slide it under the outer edge and carefully flip the egg towards you by quickly tilting the pan in an upwards motion towards your body. Let the egg seal a little bit and then move it around to make sure there aren’t any holes. If there are, just hold that area over the flame to seal.

To plate, use chopsticks and gently invert the egg onto the rice. You want to slice the egg immediately down the center so it doesn’t overcook and then top with your omurice sauce.

Pull out that leftover pulled pork, gather up some eggs and a few other simple ingredients and get ready to create some delicious pulled pork omelets!

Pulled Pork Omelette Recipe (Super Fluffy)

Crack the eggs

Crack each of the eggs and separate the whites and the yolks into two different bowls.

Season the yolk

Season them up with a tad of salt and pepper, and then whisk the egg yolks until smooth. Set them over to the side.

Beat the egg whites

Pull out that whisk and start on the egg whites. Whisk using a handheld mixer until it bubbles then add 1 tsp of sugar. Now, whisk until it tripled in size and developed glossy, medium peaks.

Prep the Eggs

Fold in the meringue

Once those medium peaks have developed, fold your light egg whites into the yolks.

Start at the center when folding

Take a wide and very flexible spatula and cut straight down the center of your ingredients, ensuring that it goes all the way to the bottom of the bowl.

Scraping the bottom of the bowl

Scrape on the bottom of your mixing bowl, pulling you. Then, pull up along the side and scoop that part of the mixture over the rest. That is folding, in its simplest terms.

Repeat the process of folding

Rotate the bowl at a quarter of a turn. Repeat the process. Once the mixture has been incorporated and has no streaks, the process is all done. Resist all temptation to stir up again. Pause and provide a little pat on the back for successfully folding in the kitchen.

Fold the egg white into the yolks

Heat the oil

Heat the oil over low heat (do this while you&#39;re whisking the egg whites). Swirl the oil to coat the sides of the non-stick 8 inches pan.

Use oil or butter

If using oil, wait until it completely coats the pan and becomes shiny. If using butter, wait until it starts foaming.

Pour the egg mixture

Once the oil/butter is heated, pour the egg mixture immediately and cook to the lowest heat setting. Spread the surface to even out the eggs. Note: Whipped eggs can deflate easily, so you must cook them asap.

Cover with a lid

Cover with a lid, and cook for about 4 minutes until the top of the omelet has set. No poking.

Lift the side of the omelet

Once the omelet is set, slowly lift one side of the omelet and drop a knob of butter underneath (this is optional).

Arrange the pulled pork

Arrange the pulled pork on top + the toppings (remember, too much of the toppings will make the egg base rips).

Fold it in half

Gently, fold it in half, move it back a bit to make some space. Flip it to the sides to help lock the runny fillings in. And you&#39;re done!

Serve and garnish

Serve the eggs and garnish with your favorite toppings.
